<Side's POV>

I blink my eyes slowly, trying to adjust my eyes to the brightness of the room.

One eye open, I see white. I close my eye again.

The second time, I open both eyes and colour flooded my brain.  I shut my eyes again.

When I open my eyes one more time, I was nose to nose with someone else.

It was G18's wolf, for I would've recognised Speedy's wolf.

It seemed that G had crashed with me in the living room last night.

An agonising ache swept through my body as I tried to move.

Slowly but surely, I shakily got up from the couch. My left paw was bandaged and throbbing, having slept on it.

I stifled a yawn as I jumped off the couch and I padded my way back to my room.

I used the toilet with much difficulty before managing to press the button and return to the living room.

G18 was sleeping on his side, having found more room to sleep on, he was now human and sprawled on the couch.

I took a peek at the clock, and it read '11.07am'.

I made my way to the sliding panel doors of the living room that led to a large patio area outside.

I sat there, watching birds and leaves fly by in the autumn wind.

I hear footsteps approach me from behind as a squirrel ran past.

Some stroked my head, dainty fingers playing with my ear.

I turn to look and see Sammi sitting down next to me.

"How are you girl? Feeling better?" I yawn and stared at her.

Did she just call me a 'girl'? And was that why I had trouble using the toilet?

"Can you understand me?" I continue to look at her, refusing to answer her questions.

Seeing that she was comfortable with me, I put my head in her lap and lay down.

Sammi continued to comb through my fur as the clock continued to tick.

There was a sudden movement behind us and we turned to look.

And to our surprise, we watched as G18 fell off the couch and onto the floor.

"Ow." Was all he said when he got up.

"Morning G." Sammi greeted him.

"Morning." G18 rubbed his sore shoulder.

"Morning wolfy." He looks at me.

«Morning» I reply, greeting both G18 and Kota who just walked out from the kitchen.

«Hi» Kota barked, wagging her tail happily as she approached.

G18 turned to look at Kota.

"You understand her wolfy?" G asked me.

I nod my head giving Kota a nose bump.

"So you two are familiar?" G18 narrowed his eyes.

I growl a little, disliking his accusatory tone.

"Whoever you are missy, you better stand down. You're speaking to a Wolven." G18 wasn't happy either.

At this point, Kota heard the word 'Wolven' and ran off somewhere, leaving me with Sammi and G18.
