<Side's POV>

I sprinted back to the house, my nose following the smell of Jeffrey's cologne.

By the time I reached the house, I was completely out of breath, gasping and wheezing as my chest heaved.

Jeffery was sitting on one of Sandra's lawn chairs, with his legs crossed.

He had this wicked grin on his face, that I so badly wanted to slap off.

"Where is he?" I demand.

"He? I have some he's around." He smiles.

I guess I didn't phrase it right. There were about 5 more of his bastardly henchmen and another SUV.

"Diellza was it? Or do you prefer Albi?" Jeffery had a smug look on his face.

How does he know my real name?

"Where is the wolf?" I try again.

"I have two, which one?" He held out two fingers.

I can count goddamnit! He's mocking me right now.

"The grey one." I describe Felipe's wolf in one colour.

"How about I show you all three options? Pick two to free while I take you?" Is he seriously trying to strike a bargain with me right now?

"Fine." I fold my arms.

"Show them to her." Jeffery waved to one of his men.

The guy slid the side door of the SUV open and what I saw inside shook me to the core.

One was G18. He had a gash on his head and one on his chest and both were bleeding heavily.

The second person I saw was my dad. He didn't look hurt or anything, just knocked out unconscious.

And lastly, in a pet carrier were Kota and Phoenix.

When the door opened, G18 stirred and the dogs barked. No response from my Dad.

"I'm an honest business man, and my goods never fail to disappoint." Jeffery stood up.

He wasn't very tall as I found out.

When he approached me, I was about a good 5 inches taller than he was.

"You for two of them. The dogs come in a pair. Choose."

I sidestepped his attempt at slinging his hand over my shoulder.

After I evaded him, his smug grin was gone, but there was still some sadistic side of him that was smiling like a murderer.

I did not trust Jeffery to get G18 some medical help on time, for all I know he could kill all of them.

"How can I trust your word?" I glare at him.

Offended, he straightened his tie.

"You can watch me release whoever you want free and we leave. I will not send my guys after them." Jeffery put his hands up in surrender.

He wasn't playing any games. He was serious.

"I choose..." I started.

"Will it be your heroic Peruvian royal lupine? Or the noble Albanian King of werewolves? Or the two stupid traitorous mutts?" He mockingly narrated.

"I choose the dogs and my dad to be free."

"Interesting choice."

G18 opened his eyes and met my gaze with a glint of disbelief.
