Chapter 4

🔥Natsu's P.O.V.🔥

I was sitting at our lunch table, eating my lunch, when Wendy came running up to the table.

"Guys! We don't have to take the statistics test today! Our sub lost them!" She said happily.

"Really?! Awesome!" Gray said.

"You guys need to pay attention more in class." Erza said with her evil eye. If only you knew what happened in my class Erza. If only you knew. I thought to myself. I looked over at the Nons table and saw Lucy, not acting as cheerful as she normally acts. 

"Hey guys, I'm gonna go for a walk. See you later." I said as I got up from the table and walked out. But what I really did was go around the whole cafeteria, and hid somewhere close to them and listened.

"Juvia! You're in luck! The test has been moved to tomorrow because the sub lost the test!" Levy of the Nons said.  

"Yay! Juvia's glad! But will Lucy still help me?" Juvia of the Nons said.

"Do you think that we could do it tomorrow? To be honest, I'm not feeling well." Lucy said.

"What happened Lucy? Did you run into one of those 'Populars'?" Romeo of the Nons said like we are a disease.

"No! No! Jeez, what do you think I am? Insane?! No please, right now... I'm going for a walk. See you guys later." She said as she got up.

"Lucy, please be careful." Jellal of the Nons warned her.

"I'll be fine! What's out in the world that could possibly hurt me during school?" She finished, then walked in my direction. Crap! Don't look at me! Don't look at me!

"Stop being a creep and get up!" She whispered sternly towards me, then kept walking. Crap, she saw me!

🔑Luvy's P.O.V🔑

I walked outside for a bit of fresh air. I was clam, peaceful, yet i was breaking. After getting caught today by Natsu of the Populars, I've been thinking of other places that i could go to talk to my mom, but i couldn't think of any. For some reason, i decided to call my brother, and beg him to come spend at least a week here before mom died. I was surprised when he actually answered.

"Hey lil' sis. What you calling for?" My brother, Sting said.

"You know what I'm calling about Sting. It's the only thing I ever call you about." I said.

"Lucy, I am coming. Yukino and I are getting our tickets to come home."

"And how long will that take? You know you have a limit of a week! Maybe even less because of me!"

"What do you mean 'because of me'? What are you doing to her?"

"I talk to her, and I tell her about my day, and then I'm always around her, but that seems to make her laugh. And when she laughs, she wheezes, when she wheezes, she coughs, when she coughs, sh-"

"Ok, ok! I get it. I can promise you that I'll be there in at least three days."

"Fine. Oh, by the way, if you don't hurry, I'll get a boyfriend."

"Excuse me Lucy?!" I hung up before he could say anything else. That better keep him motivated!

"Who were you talking to?" 

"Why are you so curious?" I said as I turned sharply to face Natsu.

"Because I don't like being called 'Natsu of the Populars' I have my own heart, life, and soul. No one can tell me how to run my life. I make that choice, and 'normal Natsu' is asking who you were talking to."

"You'll find out in three days. Maybe even two because of what I said." I snickered, and walked off. But honestly, what he said touched me. He didn't like being a popular, just as much as I don't like being a non. Maybe there is hope for us.
