Chapter Two: What's your Game?

It's the following day, and Dee Dee along with Joey, Johnny, and Tommy are practicing at Arturo Vega's loft. Johnny notices Dee Dee seems to have other things on his mind. Johnny signals to the other band members to stop for a short break.

"Hey! Dee Dee! What's the matter with you? Are you fucking high or what?"

Dee Dee rolls his eyes and sighs.

"No, John. I'm not high. I've just got a lot of things on my mind that's all."

Dee Dee lights a cigarette and begins explaining his situation.

"So yesterday, I met this really hot girl, but she won't even tell me her name. I can't stop thinking about her, and I know she wants me."

"Leave her alone. She's a witch."

Joey Snickers, and the rest of the band starts laughing as well.

"It sounds to me like she's playing some sort of game with you, Dee Dee. I mean, seriously. You're more mature than that, aren't you?"

As the majority of the Ramones are all having fun, teasing their bassist, Johnny is getting impatient and angrier by the second.

Johnny picks up an empty beer bottle on the coffee table in front of him and throws as hard he can. The bottle hits a wall, and barely misses Dee Dee's head. The three band members are startled by sound of breaking glass.

Dee Dee immediately jumps up and grabs his leather jacket, but perhaps a bit too quickly.

A baggie of heroin falls out of one of the side pockets.

"What the hell is wrong with you? You almost hit me?" Dee Dee yells at Johnny. Johnny quickly spots the baggie on the ground, and picks it up.

"What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you? You said you weren't high!" Johnny shoves Dee Dee.

"I'm not." Johnny shoves Dee Dee again even harder.

"You mean not yet?" Dee Dee finally stands up to Johnny and pushes him back.

"Fuck off, Johnny! I'm outta here!" Dee Dee exits the loft, slamming the door on his way out.

Unsure of where he was going, Dee Dee just kept on walking. No destination in mind. He just kept walking and thinking. Thinking about  how arrogant Johnny was being. Thinking about what he was gonna do if the Ramones didn't make it big, now that he had lost his job as a file clerk. Thinking about that beautiful mystery woman.

"Maybe Joey and Tommy are right. Maybe she's just toying with me. Not like it matters. I'll probably never see her again."

Dee Dee walks a bit further, until he comes to a bus stop with a bench. Just as he's about to sit down on the bench, Dee Dee is tapped on the shoulder. He turns around and sees none other than the mystery woman.
