Today your love, Tomorrow the World
Chapter Eight: Listen to my Heart
It was a Friday evening, and it had been two whole days since Dee Dee and Victoria had last seen each other. Dee Dee just had to do something to impress her, but what? Oh, that's right! He did see her wearing a New York Dolls t-shirt! Dee Dee immediately grabs the phone and starts dialing Jerry Nolan's phone number.
"Hey Jerry! It's Dee Dee."
"What can I do for you?"
"I was wondering if you could get me a couple of tickets to the show, at Max's Kansas City, tomorrow night?"
"Sure thing, pal. I'll see what I can do."
Another thing that Dee Dee was happy about, was his new job. He was now ushering at the local movie theater. Sure, he may have o been making below minimum wage, but it was enough to take his girlfriend out on a Saturday night.
The rest of Dee Dee's night was spent watching 'MASH', and eventually falling asleep.
When Saturday night finally arrived, Dee Dee couldn't wait to call Victoria, and tell her about the show.
"Victoria! I got us tickets to see the Dolls!"
"No way! You are so awesome! I love you."
"I'll be there to pick you up at eight."
"Ok. I'll see you then." Victoria says, and Dee Dee can hear the excitement in her voice as he hangs up the telephone.
Dee Dee hired a taxicab to take him to Victoria's apartment. The ride over there was quite interesting, as this was a part of Manhattan that Dee Dee had never visited before.
Now at Victoria's apartment, he notices, it seems to be very high priced. Dee Dee hurries back to the cab. He had left the dozen roses he bought for Victoria in the back seat of the cab. He hurries and grabs the roses, and runs back to the doorstep of Victoria's apartment, and rings the doorbell.
Victoria steps out, closing the door behind her, she's wearing her New York Dolls t-shirt, a black leather skirt and fishnet stalkings.
"You look amazing." Dee Dee says, handing her the roses.
"You really didn't have to do that, Dee Dee. Thank you." She says, kissing him in the cheek.
"Of course I did. You deserve this, and so much more."
Now at Max's Kansas City, Dee Dee had yet another surprise for Victoria. It was time to meet the band.
Though Not until they played some songs of course. Their set list included; 'Trash' 'Personality Crisis' and 'Jet boy'.After the show, Dee Dee kept his word, and took Victoria backstage.
"Well babe, here they are! This is, Arthur, Jerry, Johnny, and Sylvain. Guys, this is my girlfriend, Victoria."
Dee Dee and Victoria were now back at Dee Dee's house, and things were starting to quiet down.
"I've got beer and Pepsi, if you want anything to drink." Dee Dee says walking to the kitchen.
"I don't mind sharing a beer with you."
Dee Dee comes back into the living room, but removes his jacket before sitting on the couch with Victoria.
"Come closer. I want you to hear something." He tells her.
"What is it?" She asks
"Listen to my heart, it beats only for you."
Victoria leans her head on Dee Dee's chest, and he strokes her long blonde hair. She turns to him, looking up, he looks down at her.
"It's late. Do you want me to stay the night?" She asks with a seductive smile.
"Sure." He answers with a calm and cool smile of his own.
Dee Dee takes the tip of his thumb, places on Victoria bottom lip moving it across slowly. He then plants soft wet kisses all the way up from her neck to her chin, he enjoys the scent of her vanilla body lotion. When he finally reaches her lips, both of their hearts are racing. She presses firmly against against his lips, and he tastes the familiar taste of raspberry lip gloss. Victoria let's out a sigh of joy, which puts a smile on Dee Dee's face.
Dee Dee helps Victoria take off her shirt in a hurry, and she quickly tosses it onto the floor. She's wearing a lacy black bra. Dee Dee and Victoria get up from the couch, and walk hand in hand to the bedroom.
