Dinner

Rydel's POV

After shopping with my mom and Vanessa,we went to my place.I took a shower and started getting ready for this dinner with Ell.I really hope he doesn't cancel,again.I put a long shirt black with a cut in my right leg to the knee down and a white shirt.I put some heels on and pick my purse.I finish my makeup and go throw Twitter in my MacBook while I wait for Ell.Some fans send me photos of me and Brandon today outside the breakfast place.They're asking me if I'm dating him.I laugh at it and twitt

"@rydelr5- For the people who we're asking...I'm single!"

Ratliff:Good to know you're single

I turn around and see Ratliff with flowers in his hand.I close my MacBook and get up to hug him.We hug and he gives me the flowers

Rydel:They're beautiful...thank you...but you only give me flowers in my birthday and since I know it's not my birthday

Ratliff:You deserve after I cancel with you 6 times...now,shall we?

Rydel:Yes

I pick my purse and we leave.He takes me to a restaurant we used to go in the pier.We like there because there's tables outside the restaurant.We sit and immediately order

Rydel:Bringing old memories back?

Ratliff:I thought you liked the place

Rydel:I do

Ratliff:You know,I like old memories

Rydel:I'm pretty much sure you do.

Ratliff:For real...sometimes I miss the old times

I look at him and he smiles.He's joking with me.If he misses the old times,he wouldn't be with Kelly.

Rydel:Old times are good but they're in the past.

Ratliff:Maybe we should bring the past to the future

Rydel:It's too late.

Ratliff:It's never too late

Rydel:What's happening? Why are you bringing the old times up? Did you have a fight with Kelly?

Ratliff:If I had a fight with Kelly? Yes,I did...It's part of our relationship now...she feels jealous,we fight and make peace..everyday is like that

Rydel:So,you're telling me that I'm interrupting the make peace part?

Ratliff:No...I'm telling you that now I realize if I had stayed with the old times...I'd be better

Rydel:Maybe not...you never know

Ratliff:I think I'd be...so much better

I'm about to say something when our food arrives.We eat in silence.I don't understand Ratliff.He was the one who gave up on us 3 years ago.Now he regrets?! Urghhh...He's telling me this just now? When I'm finally trying to move on.We finish everything and leave.We walk in the beach and I finally say something

Rydel:You should talk to Kelly...try to make things better.

Ratliff:Are you giving up?

Rydel:I'm giving up? On what?

Ratliff:On us

Rydel:I'm not giving up because there's no us

Ratliff:Of course there's us

Rydel:We're best friends,Ellington! I love you for a really big period of time more than that but now things are changing

Ratliff:Because of Brandon?
