Chapter 19: Letter

Aaron's POV
"You ready yet?!" I shout to Colby who's talking to Sam.
"One more minute"

Sam's POV
"So, whilst you're out with Aaron you want me to break into Y/Ns house!"
"She won't be home and i need you to put this in her room" Colby hands me a wrapped package a sealed envelope and a simple white rose. "Okay I'll do it but how will I get in?"
"Devyn gave me the spare key" he reaches into his pocket,pulls out the key,hands it to me and smiles.
"Aaron said she won't be out for too long so be quick" he tells me,
"Where is she going?" I ask shoving the key into my own pocket.
"I dunno, probably somewhere with Sem."
I nod my head
"You ready yet?!" I hear Aaron shout from the bottom of the stairs.
"One more minute" Colby shouts back.
"Got everything?"
"Yup" I say, repeating the list of things I had to do in my mind.
I wave as he runs out of my room.

About fifteen minutes after Aaron and Colby leave, I decide it's time for me to set off. Y/Ns place wasn't far so I got there in a matter of minutes, I pulled out the key and unlocked the door. I hadn't been here much seen as we always hung out at our place. I make my way upstairs as quietly as possible just incase someone was here. If anyone is still in I'll make up something.

I daddle down to the bedroom which hopefully belongs to Y/N.

I place my hand on the door knob.
Turn it.
And gently push the door open.
Phew!
No ones here.

I run over to the bed and put the small package, letter and rose neatly on the pillows. I rush down the stairs and out of the door.

Racing back to my house and texting Colby.
SammyBoiiiii: Done
He doesn't reply. Weird, maybe his phones on silent.

Colby's POV
I drive myself and Aaron to chipotle.
"Are we taking it home?" I ask scratching my head.
"Nah, we're meeting some people."
He says vaguely.
"What people?"
He simply shrugs playfully and gives a strange smile. It better not be who I think it is!!!!

Y/Ns POV
"Let's sit over there" Sem grabs my arm and pulls me to the corner table. We wait for about five minutes before I see Aaron emerge from the crowd...with Colby. The sight of him made me want to break down and cry and hug him at the same time, instead I just smile and say "hi".
We order our food within minutes of their arrival. Aaron and Sem are in deep conversation with each other leaving me and Colby scrolling through our phones. I don't want to be the person who starts talking first, but I bet he doesn't either. Ping.
His phone goes off but I'm guessing that he ignores it as pretty much straight away and puts his phone away.
"I think that's our food!" Sem says happily twirling her hair. I smile and slowly put my phone in my pocket, my phone is my safety blanket and not having it in my hand unsettled me.

I eat quickly longing to escape the tension, I don't want us to be like this..but he doesn't feel the same way. I may as well just give up, he deserves better.

"I have to get going," I lie, "awww why?" Sem says but not really paying attention to me,"yeah why so soon?" That's almost the only thing Colby's said in the past hour!
"I have to edit a video for tonight" I already edited it two days ago but I couldn't bring myself to stay.
"Ok bye" Aaron says,Sem waves and as I'm leaving
the table I hear Colby say "yeah bye" he seemed sad, near to disappointed. I bat my eyes speedily as I feel my eyes begin to well up a little. I scramble into my car and put some music on, of course it was the song that constantly makes me cry....

I can't be bothered to change it so I leave it to play as I sit in the horrendous LA midday traffic.

~time skip skap skop~

It took a whole hour before I reached my drive, I park and drag myself from the car. Throughout the ride my mind had been flooded with questions with no answers.

I stared at my front door for a moment, I didn't leave the door handle up.
I hesitantly open the door,why is it unlocked?

I storm into the house and look through every room before going to check my own, so far nothing....

I yank my door open to see....

A package, neatly wrapped, along with a letter and a single white rose.

My fingers dance over the paper as I wonder whether to open it or not. Curiosity wins over and I delicately rip open the sealed envelope......
