Chapter 15

"I can't believe he would say that!" Alli said in disaproval. "I mean, where did it come from? Does he ever do that at home?" "He says stupid things all the time when he's mad." "I just don't get it, last night he was all for it and then today he says it's disgusting." I tried to add it up. "What did you do last night?" She asked. "Are you sure you wanna know? He is your big brother." I reminded.

"I'll just have to forget about that for the next few minutes." She laughed which made me laugh. I talked her though the events of last night with her cringing at pretty much every detail. "Did Dylan suspect anything?" She asked in shock. "Not a thing. I'm a smart girl." I giggled.

Alli opened her mouth to speak but she was cut off by the sound of the front door slamming. "Make sure he's okay?" I asked her, she nodded and got up. "What's up with you?" Alli asked as she left the room. "I've messed up, Alli. I can't find her anywhere!" I heard Cody, he sounded pretty mad.

"Who can't you find?" Alli played along. "Who the fuck do you think?!" "Delilah?" "Yes!" "Okay, calm down!" "I don't know what to do." I could hear worry in his voice. "Go in your room, I'll call her." "She isn't picking up." "I haven't annoyed her." Alli stated and then came back in.

"You gotta go talk to him, he's losing his mind." "He should of thought about that before he called me disgusting." "He didn't call you disgusting." Alli shook her head. "What did he mean then?" "Go ask him yourself." She opened the bedroom door and gestured for me to leave. "Let him worry for a little bit." I smiled.

"Get your ass out of my bedroom!" She pushed me out the door. "That's not the way to treat a guest." I folded my arms. "Go in there and make sure my brother's okay." She pointed to his bedroom. I rolled my eyes and walked towards the door. "But I want no funny business. The idea of that freaks me out." She scrunched her face up. I laughed and then knocked on Cody's door.

"Come in?" I heard him say, I slowly opened the door. He was laying on his bed with his head facing down. I crawled up to him and lifted his arms to put my face close to his. "I messed up." He told me. "Yes you did." "Everyone was shouting things at me and I just said the first thing that came out. I meant none of it."

"I realize that now." "But why did you tell Jamie we'd had sex?" "I didn't tell her that, she asked me and I said I wasn't telling her until she told me what was going on. She got the wrong idea and went to accuse you." "I'm sorry." "Me too." He rolled onto his side and wrapped his arms around my waist. "What was going on then?" "You really wanna know?" "Yes I do."

"Jake really likes you. When we all first met you he said that we couldn't hit on you because he wanted you. Like all us guys weren't allowed to touch you and I was okay with that. I found it fun messing with you but then I realized that I was in too deep to pull out. I didn't wanna go against what Jake had told us but I couldn't stay away from you and then you left Australia. Jamie told me that I wouldn't be able to win you over because you don't fall in love, you don't trust and she thought you wanted Jake anyway. The more and more I spent time with you, the more and more I fell for you and now I think it's safe to say that I love you." He explained.

"You love me?" I searched his eyes. "I love you." "You've never said that before." "Do you love me?" He asked, I looked away from him. "Being scared is okay.. A promise is a promise, Lilah. I'm here to catch you." "I love you." I confessed. "Oh and your sister knows about last night." I giggled. "Nooo, Lilah!" Cody laughed and started to tickle me.

Later that day Cody took me home, I needed to be alone for a while and think about what Cody had told me about Jake. I decided to call Jake and ask him to come over so we could talk so I could hear his side of the story.

"Cody told me what went down." I said to him. "What did he say?" "He told me that you told all the guys they can't hit on me because you wanted me and he said you really like me." I looked at the ground as I spoke. "I when he found out about us kissing he said that it wasn't that much of an achievement and that I shouldn't of been that proud of it." Jake said.
