"I've never seen Cody in that kinda way before." "Jamie, you made out with him for a half hour!" I laughed at her. "I know but that doesn't count because I was drunk." Jamie giggled. "And so was I." Cody said from in the booth. "You're not welcome in this conversation." Jamie dismissed. "Yeah. Keep singing, superstar." I waved my hand at him.

"You should of seen her when Harry came over." Jake said to me. "What did she do?" "They were sucking each other's faces all night." "No we weren't!" Jamie defended herself. "Yeah they were and then they went to bed and we didn't hear from them until lunch time the next morning." Jake laughed as Jamie jumped on him and hit him.

"Jamie Alisha Thrupp!" I scolded and laughed at her. "I'm not talking to you." She narrowed her eyes at Jake. "Fine by me." He smirked and pushed her off his lap. "Ow! That hurt!" Jamie moaned as she got up and sat on the couch next to me again.

"She's a slut." Jake whispered in my ear making me laugh. "I heard that." Jamie told him. "I meant you to." "Okay, stop fighting!" I told them. "He started it." Jamie folded her arms. "I had to live with this growing up." Cody said as he came out of the booth.

"I had to deal with you having a crush on he-" "Dude!" Cody stopped Jake before he could finish. "Wait, who did you have a crush on?" I asked. "No one." Cody shook his head. "Oooo." Jamie looked at Jake. "He's gonna kill youuu." She sung to him.

"Why? What's going on? What am I missing?" I looked between the three of them. "Codes?" Matt called him so he walked off. "Jake's a dead man." Jamie teased. "Why?" I looked at them. "Let Cody tell you. I've said enough." "Jake?!" "Nope." He shook his head, I looked at Jamie but she dismissed it with a head shake. "I hate you guys." I groaned.

When we came out of the studio the four of us walked along the beach. "Guys, can we have a minute?" I asked Jamie and Jake. "Hey, Jake, look at that ocean!" Jamie guided him over there. "It's so blue!" I heard Jake say as they walked away which made me laugh.

"Am I in trouble?" Cody asked, sounding slightly worried. "I don't know yet." "Well what are you about to hit me with?" "What was Jake gonna say in the studio?" I asked. "Huh?" "Don't pretend like you don't know." I stared at him blankly. "I don't know." "Cody.." "Can we talk about it later?" "Promise me you'll tell me?" "I promise." He kissed my head and then walked towards Jamie and Jake.

"Mom just called, Jake and I need to go. Do you mind?" Jamie asked as we approached. "Nah, it's cool." I shrugged. "Okay, see you later." Jamie and Jake smiled and then walked away. "What now?" I looked at Cody. "Did you talk to your mom about the music video?" Cody asked as he locked our fingers and we started to walk back to my house.

"I haven't had the time." "Can we talk to her when we get home?" "I'm not sure, Cody." "It'll be fun, come on." "But what if i-" "You gotta stop with the 'what ifs', Lilah." "But-" "No." "You can't force me to do it." "I'm not going to force you to do anything but I'm going to pull you out of your comfort zone. So whether you like it or not, you're gonna talk to your mom and Matt."

"We are no longer friends." I dimissed. "Yes we are." Cody pulled my hand so I was closer to him. "Do you wanna stay for dinner tonight?" I asked. "Sure." "But you can't stay the night tonight." "Why not?" "Because Delilah said so." "Seriously, Lilah." "Because I want some space." I shrugged. "Are you sure that's what it is?" "Yes." I nodded as we went through the front door.

"Hey!" I called to Mom as we went upstairs. "Hi Lilah, hey Cody!" Mom called back. "Hi!" Cody answered and then we went into my bedroom. "Have you seriously unpacked already?" "I did it this morning while you and Jake went to the store." "Oh right."

"Lilah?!" Dylan came into the room. "Knocking would be good." I said as I turned to face him. Dylan sarcastically knocked on the wall which made Cody laugh. "Don't encourage him." I said and pushed Cody onto the bed. "Are you still coming with me to Sarah's tonight?" "Woah, woah, woah. I thought you said y-" "Shh." I shushed Cody.
