Chapter 3

"Oh my gosh!" "Alli, it's not what it looks like! I swear!" I jumped up off the window ledge and held her still. "Don't tell anyone about this, it wasn't supposed to happen. You have to keep quiet! Please! Jamie will murder me if she finds out. Please!" I begged her.

"Okay! Okay! Chill!" She laughed and took my hands off of her. "I won't say anything, calm down." She laughed at our faces. "Do not tell anyone." Jake warned. "I already said I wouldn't. Both of you need to chill." She laughed again. "Imagine if I was Jamie." She looked at me. "I would be dead." I laughed a little.

"Why?" Jake asked. "Her first rule for this holiday was 'Do not mess around with Jake' so I kinda just broke the rule." I shrugged. "Rules are made to be broken." Jake smirked at me. "Guys! No flirty flirty, I don't want none of that happening again." She told us. "Whatever." I rolled my eyes.

"You know you're supposed to hide?" I heard Cody's voice as he walked up the hall. "We were hiding." "You're not very good at it, Alli." "I found them!" She defended herself. "Oh yeah, Delilah chose this hiding place. I'm sorry, I forgot you weren't that smart." He smiled sarcastically.

"You're the one who didn't see us in the lobby." I pointed out. "What?" "You were in the lift that we were about to get in." Jake laughed. "Yeah, now who's not that smart." I smirked. "Do you guys call this hiding?!" I heard Jamie as she ran down the hall towards us. "Blame Cody." I pointed to him. "She chose the hiding place." He pointed back at me.

After dinner Jamie and I decided to walk back home on our own. "Are you missing home yet?" Jamie asked, I shook my head. "Not yet. I miss Drakey but that's it." "Who doesn't miss that kid though?" "Exactly." I laughed. "He's started to copy everything you say and I dropped my phone the other day and went 'shit!' and he copied me. Dylan and I laughed for ages but Mom and Dad didn't find it as funny." I giggled.

"Teaching the kid to be a rebel before he has a choice." She laughed at me. "Dylan's too well behaved so I need someone to have fun with." "Exactly." "Oh and did I tell you about Dad?" I looked at her. "No, I don't think so." "He's going away with his job for a few months." "Seriously?" "Yeah, he goes for a few months and then comes back for a week or so and then leaves for a few months again." I sighed.

"Oh well, at least your Mom's gonna be there." "She's hardly ever there but it'll be okay. There was talk about sending us back to Canada but Dylan pointed out that he was 21 and is able to look after us." "I couldn't imagine if you left Cali. I wouldn't be able to live." She said dramtically making me laugh.

When we got home no one was in still, the two of us had showers and got ready for bed. "Ugh!" I shouted in frustration. "What?" Jamie appeared in my doorway. "I didn't pack any of Dylan's shirts." I sighed. "Seriously? I thought that would of been the first thing you packed." "Me too." I layed on the bed with only my underwear.

We heard the front door open and everyone's voices. "Do you mind if I go for a walk?" I asked Jamie, she shrugged. "Take your phone and don't go like that." She looked me up and down. I laughed and got up ready to change. I put a shirt and shorts on and then went downstairs. I told Jason I was going and then left the house.

I have no idea where I was going but I love walking in the dark. I feel so free. I found a beach and went to sit on the sand. I got my phone out and decided to call home and make sure everyone was fine. Dylan picked up the phone so I spoke to him for a while and then Mom followed by a little conversation with Drake, he's two so it was mostly just noises but oh well haha.

After I'd hung up and got up to go somwhere else but I bumped into someone. "I'm so sorry." A familiar voice said as they caught me before I fell. "Oh hey." Cody smiled, I smiled back. "Hi." I tried to walk past him but he stopped me. "What do you want?" "Why are you out here on your own at this time of night?" He asked.
