Chapter 1

"Come on, Lilah!" Jamie, my best friend, dragged me through the airport. "Calm down! We have half an hour until our plane leaves." I giggled at her. "Delil-" "Hey, there's a starbucks!" I ran over to the cafe and went in. "Can I have a latte to go, please?" I smiled at the man behind the counter. "Name?" "Delilah!" Jamie scolded as she caught up with me.

The man laughed and wrote my name on the mug. "What?" I looked Jamie. "If you make me late, I will murder you." "No you won't." I sung. "I will. I haven't seen my family in so long and I miss them." "I know that but I love starbucks and I haven't had one in so long." I grinned. "You bought one before school yesterday." She laughed which made me laugh.

"See I told you. Right on time." I smiled at Jamie as I passed the person my passport. "You're annoying." "I'm right." I corrected. "If you get me in any trouble this holiday I'll leave you there." "I wouldn't mind living with your cousin. He's lovelyyyy." I sung the last bit.

"That's disgusting!" "Mmm, Jake Thrupp." I smirked at her. "Shut up! That's my cousin!" "Yummy cousin." "No." "Come on, Jay!" I grabbed her hand and ran towards the plane before we were late. We found our seats and got comfortable, I hate flying but hey ho!

After a miserable flight we finally landed in Australia. Australia's Gold Coast to be precise. "These suitcases are so heavy." I moaned as we heaved two cases each through the airport. "Oh quit moaning." Jamie laughed slightly. "Who are we looking for when we get out there?" I asked. "No one, we're catching a cab to Jake's." "Oh yay." I grinned.

"Don't try anything on him." "What are you trying to say?!" I asked innocently. "I'm saying you can't play your games with my cousin." "You're no fun." I pouted. "Come on." She laughed at me and pushed me out the door. It didn't take us long until we found a cab and left the airport.

"Aunt Chantel!" Jamie ran over to her Aunt and left me to get the bags out of the trunk and pay for the cab. "Ugh!" I huffed as I lugged another suitcase onto the floor. "Here, let me help you." A deep Australian accent came from behind me while a pair of strong arms took the another suitcase out of the trunk.

"Thank you." I smiled at the very attractive, blonde guy. "Delilah, right?" "Yeah. You're Jake, hmm?" I played with my hair as I spoke to him. "Yeah." He smiled and closed the trunk before helping me into the house with the cases.

"It's cool, Jamie, I'll get the bags." I said sarcastically as I walked into the house. "Sorry!" She laughed and then turned to the family stood infront of her. "Everyone, this is my best friend, Delilah. Lilah, this is everyone. Aunt Chantel, Uncle Jason, Kipp, Poppy and I'm guessing Jake introduced himself?" She looked between me and Jake.

"Yes he did." I nodded and smiled at the other. "Hey guys." "She's really pretty." I heard Poppy whisper to Jamie as she hugged her. Jake laughed at that comment and then opened his mouth to speak. "Want me to show you to your rooms?" He offered.

"I'm in my normal one, right?" Jamie asked as we walked up the stairs. "Yeah, I'll put your bags in your room and then take Delilah to hers." "Lilah." Jamie told him. "Huh?" "Call her Lilah, Delilah is too long." "And I sound like a prostitute." I giggled which made them laugh.

"This is your room, you have your own bathroom and a closet too. You know where Jamie is if you need her and I'm just across the hall if you need me. Okay?" "And why would I need you?" I sat down on the beautifully made double bed. "In case you get scared of the cookie monster." "I am the cookie monster." I grinned making Jake laugh.

"Well I'll leave you to get settled and unpacked but I'm going out with my friends later, Jamie normally comes so you might wanna come too." He smiled and left the room. I smiled to myself and then started to unpack. This room is so nice, I can't wait to spend the next week here.
