Logan's POV:

What a beautiful day. I woke up with the love of my life in my arms and am now enjoying a beautiful sunset with my favorite meal in a garden swing. Can life get any better?

I live outside of Paris. Half of my backyard is in the woods. Our land is around three thousand square meters. My family isn't rich, we're just smart people that figured out that you can get a large patch of land for the same price as a house as long as it's a bit far from Paris. We have fences to separate us from the wildlife. I cross it sometimes though. I love the wilderness. I have a small treehouse in which I play my guitar and make music. It's about a mile away from my house. I think it's my favorite place in the world, as well as my most private place. Even Kaylie doesn't know about it.

A feeling of peacefulness envelopes my body. I close my eyes and relax. I hear leaves rustling making my head jerk up. What I see freezes me in my spot. A wolf has made it past our fence. In normal circumstances, I would probably have ran back into my house. But there is something about this wolf intriguing. It's white. Not the grayish white you sometimes see in clouds, this wolf seems whiter than snow. I doubt that's even possible. To say it mesmerized me would be a complete understatement. I get up from the garden swing, and begin carefully backing away. I try not to startle it, the last thing I need right now is for it to attack me. As I near my back door, I hear whining. The wolf rolls over and is now showing me it's belly, it's eyes bearing into mine. Beautiful hazel eyes.. Absolutely breathtaking. I'm having a hard time breaking away from the wolf's gaze. Something makes me feel like I can trust it. As if it's eyes were trying to tell me 'It's okay, I won't hurt you.' I take a shy step forward, it copies my forward motion. Pretty soon it's in arm range of me. That thought intimidates me a little. One wrong move and it could easily pounce in me and snap my neck like a twig. I'm reassured when the wolf raises its neck at me, and whimpers, submitting to me. I get down to it's level. I reach my hand out and just as I think it's gonna get bitten off, the wolf nuzzles it. I gasp, I feel them, those funny non romantic tingles. What the hell? Really Logan? A wolf sends you tingles? You've gone completely mad! I ignore it, the wolf flops it's head on my lap, as if it didn't want me to move. I chuckle. I've always been fascinated by wolves. I love their concept of packs, loyalty, tenderness and beauty. I never thought I would have one with it's head on me.

"What a handsome boy." I say as I scratch the wolf's ear. It lets out a small growl making me jump in surprise.

"Are you a girl?" I ask. It, or she I guess gives me a look that could have said 'No shit Sherlock.' I feel stupid.

"Sorry, you're beautiful." I smile trying to appease her. I begin petting her just where her neck meets her shoulder. She purrs.

"I thought only cats purred." I chuckle. She glares at me. I put my hands up in surrender. "Okay, okay! I'm sorry jeez." I laugh. The wolf slowly gets up and gently moves back, as if she was scared I would run away. She takes a long look at me. I can almost see emotions in her eyes. Hope, trust and love? What the heck? She then slowly turns away to the far side of my backyard/ woods. Then as suddenly as she came, she disappears through the thick bush. Something draws me in that direction, I have no idea why.

I sigh heavily and head back inside still overwhelmed by the fact that a giant wolf just 'wolfily' befriended me. My phone vibrates in my pocket.
