Chapter 19

Carrie's P.O.V.

Once I get settled into my room, I look at Aubrey.

Carrie: "I'm sorry about breakfast honey. (Laughs)"

Aubrey: "Don't worry about it mom. How are you feeling."

Carrie: "Better, now that I got the epidural. Has Mike called or anything yet?"

Aubrey: "Yeah, he texted earlier saying his flight was taking off."

Carrie: "Gosh, I hope he makes it here in time..."

Aubrey: "Mom, he will. He took a private jet. He should be here in less than an hour or so."

Carrie: "Good. Can I see my phone? I'm gonna call my mom."

Aubrey hands me my phone and I dial my mom's number.

Phone Call...

Carole: "Hello?"

Carrie: "Hey mama."

Carole: "How are you?"

Carrie: "Good. Well, actually, I'm in labor."

Carole: "Oh my gosh! I'm so excited to see you're beautiful baby girl. How are you feeling sweetheart?"

Carrie: "Well actually, I'm fine. I'm just waiting for Mike to get here."

Carole: "Well that's good."

Carrie: "Well I just wanted to tell you. Mike is here with Austin now, so I've gotta go. I need to explain to him why I'm in the hospital. I love you!"

Carole: "Okay, thank you. Good luck! Love you too, bye."

I hang up the phone and hug my sweet boy.

Austin: "Mommy, what's wrong?"

Carrie: "Well Austin, you know how mommy has a baby in her belly?"

Austin: "Owe, is it time for my baby sister to come out now?"

Carrie: "Yes. Did you have fun with daddy?"

Austin: "Yeah, I slept the whole way home. Daddy gave me medicine to sleep."

Mike: I Uhhh..."

Carrie: "Mike I told you about giving him medicine! He's only 5! Why do you think It's okay to obey meeee?"

I screamed from pain while I was talking.

Mike: "What's wrong? Should I get the doctor?"

Carrie: "Yes, NOW!"

Hours later...

I gave birth to my baby girl. She's so beautiful with her glowing blue eyes she's gotten from her handsome father and her soft blonde hair She got from me. I've never been so grateful for something in awhile.
