Chapter 6

Carrie wakes up asleep on the couch.

Aubrey: "Hi mommy! Mikey picked me up!"

Carrie: "Oh, He did, did He?"

Mike: "You were asleep, and you're phone rang. It said Aubrey's school. I tried waking you to answer it, but you didn't wake up. So I figured if it wasn't important, then they wouldn't have called. So I answered, and they said Aubrey needed to be picked up. So I went for you. I'm sorry!"

Carrie: "Don't be sorry Mike! Thank you so much. It means a lot to me. Babe... (Smiles)"

Mike: "That reminds me, do you wanna go out to dinner with me tonight?"

Carrie: "Of course, but can it just be you and I?"

Mike: "It can, Yes."

Carrie drives to Ivey's and drops off Aubrey. Carrie then comes home, and she gets ready. Mike drove home and also got ready. By the time Mike showed up at Carrie's house, she was ready, and it was 6:30.

Mike: "You ready?"

Carrie: "Yup!"

Carrie and Mike get in the car and get to a fancy restaurant. They sit down and order their food.

Mike: "How's you're salad?"

Carrie: "It's Good, Thank for asking. How's you're.... Meat???"

Mike: "(Laughs) It's Good. Anyways, I've been meaning to ask you something... I've never really done this, because a girl has never been so important to me. But Carrie, Will you please be my girlfriend?"

Carrie drops her fork and her eyes widen.

Carrie: "Gosh, Mike... I'm sorry... but... YES!!! (Laughs) Of course!"

Mike: "You scared me Care!!! (Laughs)"

Mike gets up and kisses Carrie, they pay their bill and head home to Carrie's house.

Carrie: "Ya know, this would be our first time tonight?"

Mike: "Yeah, but the first means the best."

Carrie wakes up from a bad nightmare.

Mike: "Are you okay?!"

Carrie: "Yeah, it was only a nightmare. I'm used to it."

Mike: "I'm here for you Care... I promise. Your my world! Ya know that? I love you!!!"

Carrie: "You said it..."

Mike: "I didn't just say it... I meant it Carrie. I do, I really love you!"

Carrie: "I love you too Mike."

Carrie and Mike kiss, then head downstairs...
