Chapter 5

"Anna is gone!"

Kristoff's yell echoed through the castle, waking Elsa up. She sprung out of her bed and ran out of her room.

"What happened?" Elsa asked Kristoff, scared. Tears rolled down her cheek. She did not want to loose her sister again.

"I don't know!" Kristoff yelled. "We have to find her immediately!"

Kai ran out of a bedroom. "What's going on?" He asked.

"Anna is missing!" Elsa exclaimed. "We need to find her!"

Kai, Elsa, and Kristoff ran out of the castle. Kristoff leaped onto Sven's back. "I'm going to find her," He said. He rode off towards the woods.

Snah gazed at Elsa. "If you are going to look for her," He said, "I'll go with you."

"Me too," Kai said.

The queen nodded. "Yes. I'm going to find her, so please come with me. I need all of the help I can get."

Snah glanced at the woods. "Well, I don't have a horse or even a Fjord Pony, so we will have to walk."

"Okay," Elsa said. They ran towards the woods. They all trudged up the steep forested hills swiftly.

Snah paused and glanced around.

"What's wrong?" The queen asked.

"I thought I saw something." He glanced around again. "Look behind you!"

Elsa spun around and saw nothing. "I don't see anything," She said. The moment she turned around and faced Snah, he drew back a fist and punched her in her face.

"Ow!" Elsa yelled. She now had a black eye. "Why would you do this to me?"

"For revenge!" Snah hissed. He unsheathed his sword and cut the queen's right arm, drawing blood. "I'm not a guard!"

"Hans?" Elsa was surprised yet frightened.

Hans laughed evilly. "Indeed."

The queen glared at Kai. "Are you working for him?"

Kai sighed and looked down. He then looked at her and said, "No. I lo-"

"Shut up!" Hans yelled. He grasped his sword hilt tightly. Right before he was going to strike Elsa right in her heart, a grey wolf leaped from the shrubs and snatched the sword out of his hands.

"Lupus!" Elsa said joyfully.

"Lupus?" Hans was puzzled.

The wolf threw the sword into the thick undergrowth. Lupus then leaped onto Hans and sunk his teeth into his arm.

Elsa yelled, "Where is Anna?"

"At the ice palace," Hans said, trying to escape the wolf's grasp. "With......"

The queen couldn't hear him over the sound of the growling wolf. "Release him, Lupus!" Elsa ordered.

Lupus let go of the foe and snarled at him.

Hans continued, "Prince Valdemar has your sister. They are in the ice palace."

Elsa smiled. She glared at Kai. "Make sure he doesn't escape."

"Don't worry," He said. "I would do anything for you."

Elsa smiled. "Thank you."

Lupus snarled at Hans and bit his arm anew.

Elsa smiled and ran up the mountain. She soon made it to the palace and heard screaming coming from the inside. She ran in and saw Anna tied up in rope, laying helplessly on the ground. She was also gagged. A tall young man stood next to her.

"Let her go!" The queen ordered.

The man snickered. "For a price."

Elsa was bewildered. "What price?"

"You are the queen of Arendelle, aren't you?"

She nodded slowly. "Yes. Why? Why did you take my sister?"

"I am Prince Valdemar," He said. "I was going to be the king until my younger brother was born. They chose him to be next in line for the throne. And why not me? Because I am 'not' fit to rule a kingdom! So, I just am asking for you to marry me. Then, I will be the king of Arendelle!"

"Who marries a woman they have just met?" Elsa was frustrated.

Valdemar snickered anew. "Well, I do. Now, marry me and I will release your sister. If you don't, I will kill her."

"Don't marry him!" Anna yelled, her voice muffled.

Elsa glared at her sister. "I can't bear to lose you again," She said. She stared at Valdemar. "Yes, I will marry you."
