Chapter 13//Alison Jenners

Jenifer's POV
Love is a beautiful thing. And I am in it.

You want details right?

Her name is Alison. She's short and a little chubby but she is really pretty. She has long curly blonde hair, the clichéd big, blue, sparkling eyes and her lashes are long and curling at the ends.

I met her when Bells stormed out the lunch hall a few days ago. When Bella left, Alison rushed over and introduced herself. She was new and said she'd seen me in some of her classes. We started conversation and found we had loads in common. I felt really comfortable with her, and it surprised me but I found it easy to come out to her, after I'd only known her five minutes.

It turns out that she was gay too, and this made me happier then I've ever been. She's the only gay person I know, but it made me feel less weird and less different.

After we knew this we both kinda sat there and blushed at each other, and I don't know if I've chosen her by default, as she's the first lesbian I know, but I think I love her. Love at first sight.

So now I've been hanging out with Ali and I'm surprised to see changes in myself. I haven't forgotten Bella, shes still my best friend, but she's being a bit bitchy and grumpy at the moment. I heard how she treated Chloe, and I don't need anymore negative vibes in my life right now.

It's been two weeks, and today I finally got the courage to ask Ali out. I was shaking as I asked her if she wanted to come see a movie with me sometime. A romance one. I could see she was shaking too, which calmed me down as I knew she was as nervous as me. She said yes, and we are going tonight!

I sort through my wardrobe. What do I wear? Im meeting Ali at the cinema, and I have thirty minutes before I have to go.

I stand in front of the mirror in my underwear, running a hand through my messy hair. What do I do?

There's a knock on my door. "Come in!" I call.
Aunt Tina opens the door. "Need some help love?" she walks in and sits on my bed. "How you feeling?"
"Excited and nervous!" I exclaim. "And stressed, because I don't know what to wear!" I hold up a checkered shirt. "What about this?"

"Well lovelie," she rummages through the heap of clothes on my floor.
"How about this," she holds up a plain shirt "With this," she holds up my leather jacket "with these," she holds up my blue jeans "And these," she holds up my conker-brown boots.

I take the outfit from her and smile. "I can do this."

I take Ali's hand as we walk into the dark of the cinema. It feels right. She smiles at me and squeezes my hand...

The film is ending. The man leans up to kiss the women. Ali looks up at me. I look down at her. We meet halfway, and kiss.

The film ends but we remain kissing for a few seconds longer. An old couple who had the seats behind us get up and walked down the stairs, saying 'aaah' and 'young love' as they pass which makes me feel so much better knowing there are lots of people out there who dont judge because of sexuality.

Yay! I'm so proud of Jenifer! Fingers crossed nothing will go wrong....
