Bella's POV

I pad softly up the stairs, not wanting to wake a sleeping Felix. I creep along the corridor past his room and to mine. Gently, I close the door and smile at Morgan.

"What movie have you picked for tonight then?" I ask, picking my way through all the discarded clothes on the floor and reaching the couch. I sit next to Morgan and pull the throw over us.

"I've picked... THIS!" Morgan says, pulling out a DVD box from under the throw. He waves it around, so all the words on the box are a blur."DUN DUN DUN!" Morgan laughs manically, as I desperately try to grab the box to see what we will be watching. What is wrong with Morgan tonight?

I give up trying to get the box off him, and wait for him to calm down, smiling at how strangely cute his manic laughter is. He eventually composes himself, and I take this chance to grab the movie box and look at it. IT: 2017 REMAKE

"No way!" I say, dropping the box like it's on fire.

"Why not? You said you liked horror films..." Morgan says, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "Or did you lie to me?"

"No, I... I love horrors," I say, crossing my fingers. "But what if Felix hears it and gets scared?"

"His room is right at the other end of the corridor. And we can turn it down." Morgan says grinning. "We are watching it!" He grabs the box off my lap, leaps off the couch, slots the disc in the side of the TV and rummages in his bag. He pulls out an eye mask and joins me back on the couch.

"For you," he presents me with the eye mask. "I can tell when your lying to me baby. I can tell you're going to get scared. So use this whenever you need," he laughs. He knows me too well.

"What? No, I love horrors." I say, not wanting to admit my lies. Morgan gives me a big dimpley grin.

"Guess you wont be needing this then." He snatches back the eye mask and pings it across the room, where it lands on my bedpost.

"I don't need it." I say defiantely. Then I add "Can I keep the eye mask anyway?" Its a really nice one.

"Sure thing, birdie. Now shh! The movies starting." Morgan says. I gulp as the start credits roll. I HATE horrors.

Halfway through the film, Morgan takes the remote and pauses the film. "Not that scary, huh?" He says before scuttling out the room. "Be back in a sec, just need the loo." He says as he exits. I slowly pull the pillow away from my face, sit up and look properly at the screen for the first time. I jump and have to stifle my scream. Morgan had to pause it on a jump-scare. Penny-wise stares manically back at me. I lay back down, snatch back my pillow and cover my face.

The end credits roll. I slowly put the pillow down next to me, shuffle so I'm upright and turn to look at Morgan, who at the exact same time turns to look at me.

"That was..." Morgan starts, and I quickly jump in.

"Amazing!"

"I love the penny-wise dance!" Morgan jumps up and demonstrates. This is the first time I've seen it, overall I watched about two minutes of the film. The credits. And I spent the rest hiding behind a pillow, but I'd layed down on my side so it looked like (hopefully) to Morgan that I was resting my face on the pillow and not burying my face in it. I laugh at his dance, and get up to join in.

"And I love when Penny-Wise is possessing people," Morgan says breathlessly.

"Oh yeah, me too." I say, nodding convincingly.

"Oh, and when he goes to that pizza place, and actually orders a peperoni, because you know, a clown has to eat." Morgan says, laughing, and I nod again and laugh along.

"AND the bit where Penny-Wise pops his red balloon," Morgan starts.

"Oh yeah, and he has to get another one!" I guess.

"Haha, that bit was the best." Morgan laughs. Then he looks properly at me and grins. "You didn't watch any of it, did you?" I open my mouth to argue, but he puts his finger on my lips. "I made up the pizza and the balloon part."

I sigh. "Okay, alright. I hate horror films. I watched about two minutes in total of this one."

"Then why did you say you did, bird?" Morgan asks, still smiling.

"Because I didn't want to be the clichéd girlfriend, whose boyfriend loves horrors, and whenever they watch one she screams into him and burrys herself in him." I say, laughing at how ridiculous I sound. "I didn't want to look like a wimp, when really I'm not, I just hate clowns and dolls and stuff."

Morgan shakes his head, the smile still on his face. His cheeks must be aching by now. "Theres nothing wrong with being a cliché," he teases. "I'll have you know, I'm not a big fan of horrors myself. Okay, I liked IT, but chucky and all those ones are so boring and predictable."

We look at each other and laugh. I nestle into him.

"Can we watch the lion king?"

"Sure thing, bird."
