Ch 12

"Dad?"I peek into my father's office. I decided to get this over with.

Tonight will be the night when I tell my parents of my relationship with Lisa.

" Um. ..Daniel? "He sounded unsure but I could tell he's getting old " come on in"

I walk into the office nervously as hell and that got my father a little curious as to why I might be here.

"Don't just stand there "he motion me to sit but I'm not planning on staying that long so I declined."Very well than...."

"Dad....There's something that happened a while ago..."How will I do this?shit.

" What happened exactly are you talking about? " dad cleared his throat and shifted in his chair.

"Actually. ...I found my mate " I smile at the thought of my beloved but didn't say anything. I  guess he realised there's something more to this mate of mine.

"To be honest,I'm happy that you finally found her " dad said seriously and added " but I have that feeling that something isn't fine as well"

" That's what brought me to talk to you "my smile dropped.

"What is it Daniel? "

" My mate is not of our kind dad "it pained to know that.

"Human? "He asked a little shocked.

" vampire "I  whispered but he heard me right.

If you were to his his face now.You will wonder how wide his eyes could go out of their sockets. He face is priceless but only if this wasn't serious, I'll be laughing by now.

"A vampire? "He asked and could only nod " Huh. ...Daniel look...I   know you want a mate but...."

I know where his taking this.just like my brother he thinks I was just having a crush or maybe compelled which is impossible to a werewolf.

"Dad,she's my mate " I stated.

" This is complicated than "he let out a breath.

"Not that " I said and he raised his eyebrow probably for me to explain "she's not just a vampire. ..but a dhampir at that"

" than this is worse than complicated "he let out a little laugh until he remembered something I guess " the only clan I allowed here was the Elston clan"

"Exactly "

"And the only dhampir I've heard of these  years was from the Elston clan "dad eye me like pleading me to  say not her.

" It's her dad "I stated "It's Elizabeth Elston who's my mate"

" Shit " well shit . father never curse "this can't be happening again "

"What do you mean 'again '?"I asked confused.

"There was this story that happened even before my great great grandparents "dad ran a hand in his blonde hair  and look at me " even myself didn't believe it until now"

"Is it about the last vampire and wolf that mated? "

" No. "Dad said looking stressed out which he is possibly "the story is perfectly like what is happening to you now .As it was told.A particular werewolf mated with a vampire which happened to be a dhampir. "

"So  I ....."

"Is is said that the vampire got pregnant and the offspring that was born was something that only supernaturals could imagine "dad said cutting me off " the child grew into bigger adult and became a bigger problem "

" He was believed to be stronger than an old vampire and a most powerful wolf to have ever been known . With  his strength he begin taking over territories and different clans of vampires "

"He was ruthless, he killed for fun because deep down he knew no one could stop him and it took years of planning to finally get rid of him and things turn to normal but they said it wasn't a piece of cake to finally destroy him  "dad look at me with pity which I don't want right now " since than people fear the mating between vampires and our kind . they don't want to experience that again and that's why the last who mated were hunted down and killed."

" Daniel. "Dad started "the couple I just told you were just mere ones and in your case is different "

" How different? "

" to top things up....The alpha blood runs in your veins and also Elizabeth your mate is the daughter of one of the strongest vampire ever  known and I don't think the councils will take the chance to let history repeat itself "

"The councils? "I asked.

" Yes the councils "dad added " if they came to know about this than there is only two options "

"And they are?"

"Either you run but I don'tknow for how long or simply just reject her "

I'd rather spend my hard days with mate than give up like a coward 'my wolf growl a little.

I agree with him there.

"I can never reject her father " I said confidently "she's my mate and I'll not broke her heart like that"

" I can't lose a son " dad is on the verge of breaking down now which in my entire life I've never witnessed."Please son...."

" Dad. ...I "I hold my tears back " you won't lose me but I can't just reject her. I made her a promise to keep her happy  fought by her side"

" this is the one time I regret to ever told you to always keep your words " he admitted and I laugh a little and smile .

"I think I should get going "I turn to leave but dad stopped me in my tracks.

" wait...."he stand"Whatever decision  you make always know that I'll always be here for you and I'll also fulfil my duties as a father to keep you happy"

"I know dad " I said as I turn to leave but look up at him one last time "I love you dad "

"Tell that to your mate "he chuckle and than gets serious "I love you to son "

I left the office relieved . I don't really had to worry about mom but I wouldn't be surprised if she cried herself out.
