Ch 22

"What is this place?"Lisa asked as we step inside what looks like a cabin on the outside but the interior is far amazing than what it appeared to be.

There is a book case on the far corner and there are antics opposite it.

Old rifles were arranged from the ancients to the modernise ones and the creepy part was that there are skulls, remains of a werewolf at the look of it.

" What is this place? " Lisa asked again looking around her " is this some kind of your museum "

" It's my man cave "Decko said pulling a hanging blanket aside and it turned out there is a bedroom behind " Don't touch anything "

" like I would like to "Damien roll his eyes " look. ...I'm not here so you can give me a little tour in this little man cave of yours....I want to know what the hell in hell was that back there all about"

" Could you at least. ...."

" could I at least what! !!!"Damien shouts " one moment you were helping us and next you're avenging your parents death. ....what the actual shit man.....not to add hybrid? Who are you?"

" which question do I answer first?"Decko or Davies I also know now asked amused.

Damien let out a breath " just start talking "

" Well. ..I'm not Decko as you know "

"Not shit sherlock " Michael hiseed "we all know that now....tell us who you are really "

"Guys. ...You're overeating right now "I said trying to calm them "let the dude explain himself "

"At least someone have patients "Decko murmurs "I guess you all heard the story about the werewolf who mated the vampire decades ago"

We nodded yes so he  proceed.

"Those couples were my parents "we stare at him in shock " and I was their child "

" offspring? "Lisa asked.

" Don't call me that " Decko growl low.

"But you're supposed to be dead maybe three decades ago " Damien said " the councils hunted you down"

" That's what they said but not what really happened "Decko said " Yes they had searched for me but they never killed me.....I kind of saw it coming. ..perks of being a hybrid "

"This is confusing "Michael said " so you really killed the head commissioners? "

"Those mutts deserved to die "Decko growl "in fact they knew what I was"

"and they didn't ask for your head? "

"They knew what I am but not who I am "Decko explain again " they thought I was on their side and they could use me to their advantage if Davies who's actually me happen to attack  "

"Didn't they know how you look?"Damien asked.

"unlike here. ..In Asia there are witches who could change your appearance but can't change your scent cause that's something within you " Decko continue .

"Now that the leaders of the the councils are dead I don't think it will be necessary to go abroad "

" meaning? "

" meaning you're free to stay with your mate here bu....."

" But? ...."

" But new commissioners are going to take over and I don't know what kind of government they're going to have "he explained "if they again saw you as a threat than you'll be left with no choice but to move"

All this time Decko was talking I didn't realise he was packing his bag until now.

" Decko. ...."

" Davies " he corrected "my name is Davies"

" What are you doing? "I asked referring to the packed bag.

"My job is done here " he said a little sad "I'm going home"

"Home? "I asked " I thought this was your home?"

"Was my home " he added "I live in Asia now....I left my mate there"

" You found your mate?"

" What do you think? you're the only lucky one? "He raised his eyebrow " I got a mate"

"So this is a goodbye than? "I asked a little sad for him leaving without thanking him for he had done "thank you "

" for what? "

"I never get to say thank you for what you did for me and my mate "I started "because of you...I'm not on the run right now...I'll be leaving peacefully with my mate and family " I look at Michael "and brother in law"

" I'm not your brother in law "Michael whined which made us laugh.

"I'm grateful for everything you had done for us " I finish.

"At least one in the George family have the courage to say thank you "Davies chuckle "I've trained your brother to be a good fighter he is now but all I had received were insults and empty threats"

"You were hitting hard "Damien defended.

"You're going through a tunnel you told us?"Alex asked handing over a map.

" Nope. ...I'm going at the airport "he added " give that to Daniel. ..you never know "

" I hope I won't get to use it "I said seriously.

" I hope not " Davies let out a breath "well. ..ladies and gentlemen I may take my live and don't miss me too much "

" Oh please " Damien and Michael said in unison.

"One  more thing "he turn around "I know others may think you guys hate each other but I know you enjoy each others company "

" Hell no "Damien and Michael said together again.

" see? "We all laughed.

Davies left and we all look at each other thinking of what to do.we all left and head to our pack . Michael and Lisa were also coming with us .

The pack was very happy to hear about what happened to the councils.....seems like most of the people didn't like how they were ruling and want the new leaders to come with new laws.

" I'm leaving now " Michael announced standing up and Lisa also stand to leave "You're staying "

" What? " we all asked.

" Don't be too shocked "he roll his eyes " I know Daniel make you happy and I don't want to be the one take you away from your source of happiness "

"Didn't know you could make a speech "Damien interupted the good moment and earn a smack from Katherine.

"and do tell me when the idiot caused you any trouble "Michael look at Damien who only rolled his eyes.

"Thank you "Lisa hug her brother before he took off with the speed only he seemed to possess.

I pull Lisa to me and sat her on my lap as I think of all that we had gone through to be here together.

And I realise we still have to complete the mate process  and it's Now or Never.
