Ch 3

"Care to explain what was that? "Katherine said as we jump in our jeep.

"That was an almost a fight between a vampire and using said not wanting to say more.

"Dude,please tell me you didn't pick on a freaking girl " Damien said "it will be an embarrassment "

"Can we just go home " I said no longer in the mood.

"I just standby you man " my brother complained "not even an explanation? "

"Yeah you stand by him " Katherine said clearly annoyed by our behaviours.

"Not our fault you don't have the balls "Damien said and I find myself laughing with him.

"Funny...huh?"she added"wait until I tell your parents you almost shift at school "

Our parents? Hell NO.they will flip on us.

"Not our parents please "we said together and Katherine laughed at look of horror on our faces.

"I won't tell them now but repeat it and they'll find out "she warned.

We pulled onto our porch and Katherine jump out to go to her parents house.she doesn't live with us like the rest of the pack . there are those who prefer to live else where some chose to be in the pack house.
We move to the front door and our best friend Alex came up to us.

"How was school pups " he teased. Alex was only a year older than us . he's 18 but he doesn't go to school and his parents don't force him to.

Alex is our best friend and will be the third in command once my brother is the alpha.

""Hey Alex "damien said fist bumping each other .For some reason I was already lost in my thoughts thinking about the vampire girl.

"What's up man " Alex pushed me on the shoulder.

"Huh?......I ...what did you say?"oh Lord. What's happening to me now.

"You can't believe this " Damien already started.

"What's that ?"Alex asked looking at me and back to my brother.

"We were almost to fighting a vampire today "he whispered afraid someone might heard him . because if someone does and tell dad . we're officially dead.

"You're kidding me " Alex said.

"Nope"

"How can you party without me guys " Alex said a little disappointed. Alex here loves to fight especially with vampires.Alex was always there when hunt any vampires. He is not only our best friend but also our brother from another mother.

"A fight......"

"You were fighting today? "We all turned in horror at that voice. Of course it was father. Was he eavesdropping on us? Did he heard us.

"Are going to answer? "He asked us coming near.

"No one was fighting "I said proud of finding my confidence.

"Alex? "Dad turned to Alex "tell me son....did these two fought at school today? "

"How am I supposed to know father "my parents like Alex calling them dad or mom " I was at home"

"I'm sure they could of told you "

"They didn't "he lied "if you'll excuse me I'm heading to the gym"

Alex left us standing there awkwardly with the intimidating freaking alpha.

I clear my throat and look at dad who was still starring at us.

"I'm going to freshen up "if lied trying to escape father.

"Oh!...I promise to meet up with my mate  (Katherine)"Damien also lied and we tried to pass through dad but the latter broke our way.

"Are you two hiding something? "He ask bringing his face towards us.

"Nope " we said in unison and ran inside. Our dad could try to be scary but we all know he's cool. A good father and alpha with a kind heart.

Once inside the house Damien turn to me before I went to my room.

"Daniel? "He said.

"Yeah? "

"Hsd I missed something there?"

"What are you saying? "I asked.

"Why was that vampire girl looking at you like that? "So he also noticed it.

"I wish I knew brother "I said seriously.

"Sure you don't have a clue? "

"Wouldn't lie to you Damien "I said truthfully "You're my brother "

"I know "Damien said and took his leave.

I look as he walk towards his room and sigh.I really wish I knew. I said to myself and went into my room.
