The Next Morning
My eyes fluttered open as I sat up in my bed. Corbyn was laying beside me, still sleeping. I quietly got out of bed and walked to the bathroom. I locked the door behind me and reached for my razor. I haven't done it in about a week and with everything going on, I needed it. I'm not proud of myself but it is the only way I know how to escape without hurting anyone else. I held the razor to my wrist and allowed it to glide across my skin.
2 for being whatever the heck I am.
1 for allowing it to control me.
3 for giving in.
I cleaned up the blood and quietly exited the bathroom. Corbyn was still asleep so I went to my closet to grab an outfit. Corbyn and Jack got me a load of clothes so I had a full closet. After looking at everything I came to the conclusion of wearing... (outfit blow.)
I left my hair down, I was feeling pretty lazy this morning. I made my way out to the living room to see if anyone else was awake. Jonah and Logan where on the couch. They where talking in a hushed tone. I coughed slightly letting them know I was there.
"Mornin' cutie." Jonah smiled, I returned it.
"Good morning Cassidy." Logan gave me a faint smile..
"What's for breakfast?" I asked as my stomach growled.
"Lets see what we can find." Jonah said, getting up from the couch and walking into the kitchen. I followed him and began looking in the fridge with him.
"Waffles?"He asked, holding a box of waffle mix. I nodded my head and sat at the counter while Jonah made the waffles.
"Cassidy?!" I heard Corbyn yell from my room.
"Yes?" I yelled back. I then heard footsteps running towards my direction. A very messy Corbyn appeared in the doorway. As soon as he saw me he sighed in relief.
"O my goodness you scared me so badly. Do not do that again." he ordered, joining me at the counter.
"What did I do?" I questioned, looking at him.
"When I woke up I could't find you anywhere, I thought something happened." He stated.
"Don't worry about me Bean." I said using his new nickname.
"I can't help it Cass." He replied. I pulled him into a hug. I feel really bad that he spends his time worrying over me. I don't want him to.
"Aww that's sweet. When do I get my hug?" Zach asked coming down from the stairs.
"Yeah I want a hug." Daniel chimed in, following Zach down the stairs. They walked over to us and we had a group hug.
"Hate to ruin the moment but if you guys don't hurry up we are going to be late." Jack stated walking into the kitchen and taking a waffle.
"Late? For what?" I questioned.
"We all have a meeting today, Lydia and Brendan should be coming to watch you." Logan stated.
"Who?" I asked, I don't want to stay with complete strangers. "Also, I'm not a baby, I am 17 I can watch myself." I added.
"Lydia is my assistant and Brendan is my videographer. They are coming to hang out with you." Logan restated the last part.
"That sounds better but I am still not happy about it." I waved my finger at him.
The door opened and I guess Lydia and Brendan walked in.
"Hey guys!" Lydia exclaimed waving her hand. A mix of 'Hi's and "Hey's where passed around, I didn't say anything. Brenden walked over to me.
"You must be Cassidy! It's nice to finally meet you." He exclaimed, smiling at me. I flashed him a quick, fake smile and went back to my waffle.
"Bye Cass!" Daniel and Jonah said from the front door. I waved at them without looking at them. I want to get the fact across that I am not happy.
"By Cass." Jack said kissing the top of my head as he left.
"See ya soon Cassidy." Zach cheered as he walked out the door. Ha, as if.
"Bye Cass!" Daniel and Logan exclaimed as they walked out the door, leaving me alone with two people I don't even know. I got up from the counter and walked to my room. I don't really feel like talking to anyone. I don't want to stay here anymore. I feel like an annoyance to everyone. I feel like I am just a bother to them. I don't feel welcome anymore. I opened my room door and closed it behind me, locking it. I then went to the window, to my surprise it wasn't locked. I lifted up the glass and popped out the screen. There was a knock on the door but I chose to ignore it. I began climbing out the window. I was halfway to freedom when I heard shouting.
"CASSIDY OPEN THIS DOOR!" It sounded like Brendan. I leapt out of the window, my room was on the first floor so it wasn't very hard. I began sprinting away from the house, going as fast as I possibly could. I heard a few shouts behind me but ignored them as I ran. Soon enough the house was out of view but I continued running.
It has been about thirty minutes since I made my grand escape. My legs are aching and I can barely stand anymore. I stopped sprinting about five minutes ago and I was now speed walking. I need to sit down but I can't. I am still too close to the boys and before you know it they will be on the lookout for me too. Hold on, if I can teleport, why don't I go somewhere that way? I need to find a private place and try it out. I went inside a gas station and in the girls bathroom. I locked myself in and sat down in the corner. In my mind I imagined paradise. Hawaii. It has always been my dream to go to Hawaii and now I might be able to. I imagined the warm sand along with the crystal clear water. I imagined the warm sun kissing my skin and the soft breeze blowing through my hair. Once again I began to feel the environment around me changing. I could hear children laughing and waves crashing. I opened my eyes and couldn't believe what I saw. Hawaii. I was freakign in Hawaii. This is the bomb. I laid down on the warm sand exhausted. Soon enough I felt my eyelids get heavy and I was out.
