I am seventeen today but that doesn't bring me any joy at all, it just means that I'm going to the Spring of Wisdom today. Link still hasn't awoken yet, the nurses have told me he's not doing well that he has been mumbling more and more since I was forced to stop my visits.
I force myself out of my bed and get dressed, ready for my big day, but as much as I may look ready, my mental state is far from ready. I look at my Sheikah Slate and find a photo of Link standing on a cliff edge looking of into the distance. From back before he had The Master Sword, he still has that distant look about him.
I put the slate down and walk to my door no longer wishing to gaze upon the photos that me and Link have shared together. It brings me great pain not to go visit him right before I leave for Mount Lanayru. I tell myself to be strong, he wouldn't want me worrying about him, he would urge me to keep going even without him.
I walk down to the great hall to find my escorts standing waiting for me, I keep a stern expression as I nod to them and we begin our long journey to the mountain.
___________
I look out from the mountain and see most of hyrule before me, Link would have loved to see this view but sadly he can not, I look to my guards, Daruk stayed behind to take care of a lynel that we met at the bottom, they urge me to keep going, I can't rest even for a little, probably my fathers orders, do not let her waste any time. The water in the spring is freezing as I walk through it to begin preying to the white goddess Hylia. But the difference to this spring from all the others is that I'm not preying for my powers to awaken, I'm preying for Link to awaken but no one else knows that. So I sit there for a few more hours but nothing happens so we pick our selves up and head down. The other champions are waiting for us when we get down there.
"Well? Don't keep us in suspense. How'd everything go up there on the mountain?" Daruk questions
I just shake my head and look down "No"
They all look at me in despair. "so you didn't feel anything?" Revali steps forward "No power at all?"
"I'm sorry, no" I look to the ground again.
"Then lets move on" Urbosa looks at me with understanding "you've done all you could. Feeling sorry for yourself won't be of any help. After all, it's not like your last shot was up there on Mt. Lanayru. anything could finally spark the power to seal Ganon away. We just have to keep looking for that... thing." she looks up at the mountain
"That's kind of you. Thank you." I mumble out
Mipha steps forward "If I may... I thought you... Well, I'm not sure how to put this into words... I'm actually quite embarrassed to say it, but I was thinking about what I do when I'm healing. You know, what usually goes through my mind... It helps when I think- When I think about-" she is unable to finish for the ground starts to rumble.
Revali takes flight into the air to see what's going on.
"Its here" Urbosa face darkens
"This is it, then..." Daruk puffs his chest
"Are you sure?" Mipha says
"positive" Revali nods
"it's awake, Ganon." I gasp
Daruk turns to the rest of us "Let's stop wasting time! We're going to need everything we got to take that thing down! Now Champions! To your Divine Beasts! Show that swirling swine who's boss! Li... shoot the little guy is still in his coma"
" Link, we need to get to Hyrule castle and get Link out of there or all hope is lost. He is defenseless while he is a sleep" I begin too worry "Revali can you get him out of there, you can get there faster than all of us ever could."
"Yes, as much as I hate to admit we will need him alive for this. I'll hurry with him, meet us in Kakariko Village" he takes off toward the castle while we head toward Kakariko Village.
____________
Impa takes us in as we wait for Revali and not long after we see Revali flying toward us but without Link. He crashes to the ground in pain and we run over to him.
"He...ahhh. He wasn't... He wasn't there" he gasps in pain "the Guardians the... they have been turned against us"
I step back shocked at what I just heard. A tear falls from my eye. The Guardians turned against us. But what was bothering me the most was what in Hyrule has happened to Link?
