What They Were

They were subtle eye contact across rooms.

They were the brushes of hands against each other.

They were innocent flirting and pale blushes.

They were first love, sweet and timid.

And then

They were constant handholds and warm hugs.

They were comforting touches and reassurance.

They were cheesy dates and romantic lines.

They learned to trust and what it meant to depend on someone.

And then

They were make-out sessions and long nights.

They were, 'stay up till God knows when just talking about everything because what better do we have to do'

They were spooning at night and arms around the other's waist during the day.

They were always having to be touching, always having to be close.

They were loved so deep it felt like their hearts would explode.

But

They were a mess.

They were both too dark

They were much too broken.

They would surely destroy each other. (And they did, but you don't know that)

So until destruction

They were silence in still rooms.

They were soft caresses and tender lovemaking.

They were not needing to say "I love you" because they felt it through their pulses.

They were so sure, so confident in their love but so naive and youthful.

And still

They were intimacy and deep understandings of one another.

They were, 'no else could possibly work for me because I can't function without you.'

They were obsessed and so deeply in love.

They breathed each other in and they suffocated.

Frank and Gerard loved each other.

And they still disintegrated.

I'm not sure if this makes any sense, but it looked pretty to me, in a dead pretty kind of way.

I'm working on stuff. I have multiple shots lined up, all waiting to be finished.

The smut is coming.

I know I'd have better luck with this if I wrote about happier things but that'a not who I am. The next one should have a happy ending.
