Chapter 4

Will POV

It's been 6 months since mine and (y/n)'s one year anniversary. I'm 17 now and she is 16. Chiron called some big camp meeting. Everyone is there now. Chiron is there. Mr. D is not. He's late. As always.

Mr. D finally gets there and we're ready to start. "Campers," Chiron started, "I am calling a quest. Poseidon has lost his trident. Again. We need some campers to go find it. We have selected the three of you to go if you accept. (Y/n)(L/n), Nico Di Angelo, and Will Solace." I look up at the sound of my name. "What?" I say. Mr. D sighs, "do you accept or not?!" "I-I accept." Following that, Nico and (y/n) accepted. Great. My ex boyfriend and current girlfriend. This will work great.

I then came to a sudden realization. I could loose her. The love of my life. It might be our last chance to be together. My plan for our future just went away. All of it. Down the drain. I love her. So so much. And I don't want to think about how high the chances of one of us dying are.

~one week later~

Your POV

Lets get one thing strait. I do not get along with Nico Di Angelo. And I never will. He's my boyfriends first love. That means something to me. It means that he got to be Will's first everything. First kiss. First person that he told that he loved. And I have to be the second. I need to make Nico understand that Will Solace is mine. All mine. He may have been his first love but I intend to be his last.

Today is the day we leave on our quest. This whole quest is because of my stupid father. Why did he have to loose his trident?! He needs to get his shit together. Seriously. And soon.

I'm completely ready. Bag packed, dressed, and all my maps in order (thanks Annabeth for helping me with that). I've said goodbye to my brother and his girlfriend and now I'm waiting for the others.

A few minutes later Will comes over and kisses me. "Ready?" he asks me. I nod. After a few more minutes, Nico shows up. Finally. "Will! (Y/n)! Sorry I woke up late." Of course he did. "We need to get going," I say as I start walking into the forest. The boys behind me.

This quest is estimated to take about 5 months. Yippee. That's a long time away from camp. From my friends and my family. But I have Will with me. That's a positive. But I also have Nico. That's a negative. I look at my map. "We need to get to the train station. We need to get to Wisconsin and I'm not getting on a plane," I say. Will knows that I hate planes and doesn't protest. "A train?!" Nico starts, "Why a train?!" I really don't like him. I explain why I hate planes and he understands. Finally.

A few hours later, we get to the station. I buy tickets with mortal money and pass them out. "Okay," I say, "let's get that trident back."
