"The Phillis Wheatley Award"
There are many new writers who join Wattpad and have trouble finding an audience. This award will recognize the best stories that have less 5,000 views. They are what we considered "undiscovered gems." Their books are good and they just need for readers to give them a chance. (Is this a story that I think should be more popular on Wattpad? Does it stand out?)🛑PLEASE MAKE YOUR NOMINATION FOR THE PHILLIS WHEATLEY AWARD HERE ➡️

"The Alice Walker Award"
This award will be given to the stories with the most memorable characters. It's difficult to make a character that is charismatic, likable, interesting, ordinary, extraordinary, well-motivated, dynamic, etc. The stories nominated for this award even make the villains and minor characters interesting. (Long after I finished reading this story, did the characters remain in my memory? Was I invested in this character's journey? Did I find myself wanting to read more about this character?)🛑PLEASE MAKE YOUR NOMINATION FOR THE ALICE WALKER AWARD HERE ➡️

"The James Baldwin Award"
This award will be given to the most realistic stories. These stories make you believe that you're reading something that actually happened. The writer has perfectly described the world, reminded you of something that has happened, or tapped into your core beliefs. While reading these stories, you feel like the writer is flashing a mirror in front of you. They help you best connect with yourself because of how raw their writing is. (Was this story so raw that it made me reflect on my own life and evaluate myself and those around me? Could I envision things in this story happening in real life? Was this story so close to reality that I had to constantly remind myself that it was a fictional story?)
