While working on getting all of the final nominations compiled last night, we noticed that on the Frederick Douglass Award that all of the nominations had been removed. It's a similar glitch as if you changed something in the paragraph and it wipes away all of that paragraph's comments. Wattpad can't fix it.
We were going to try and sift through, but there are so many nominations that trying to be accurate as to which are for the Reader's Choice Award would leave too much room for error. So our only option is to leave this award open for two more weeks.
Here is the description:
"The Frederick Douglass Award"
This award will be given to the best random story. (Reader's Choice) The votes of readers solely will decide this award. Wattpad is filled with so many types of books that don't fit into a mold and we wanted to add an award that was reflective of that. An award like this can't be judges, it's really just a preference of what reader's like. It can be poetry, a rant book, one shots, fiction, nonfiction, or whatever artistic expression that you believe should be celebrated. (Is this writer passionate about what they are writing about? Do you want everyone to read whatever they wrote? Is this a book that you think other reader's would enjoy?

We are so sorry for the inconvenience and this is frustrating to us, too. But we would rather re-do this and get it right than to guess. Again, each individual can nominate one book only in this category and the top five receiving the most single votes moves in to the second round.
