"Helena..."
"Dad?"
"Yes, baby. I'm here."
"Dad... I missed you so much."
"I missed you, too, sweetheart."
"Is this heaven?"
"No, baby. It's not. You have to go back."
"What?"
"It's not your time, sweetie. You have to go back."
"Dad, no! I don't want to go! I don't want to lose you again."
"You never lost me, Lena. I've always been there."
"I can't..."
"You have to. You'll understand in time. Now go."
"But dad!"
"I love you, Helena. I love you..." I love you... I love you...
"I love you! Lena, please, I love you!"
There was pressure on my chest and all I could hear was the sound of people yelling, screaming.
"Give her another shock!" someone yelled. A sharp surge ran through my body, making me curl my toes, and my eyelids flew open. Bright fluorescent lights blinded me.
"Oh my God!" someone cried, and there were suddenly hands all over me.
"No!" I screamed. "Get away! Leave me alone!" the hands held me down, pinning my body.
"Lena, it's me! Lena, look at me! You're safe."
I turned towards the familiar voice and saw a pair of green eyes, filled with tears. Behind him stood Nate and Sam. They were both crying.
"What-" was all I could get out before Alex's mouth came crashing down against mine. He pulled away, leaving me breathless.
"What..." I repeated, looking around me. I was in the hospital room in the manor. I was safe...
"Jack!" I yelled up, sitting up, my body stiffening. Alex put his hands on my shoulders and gently pushed me back against the pillows.
"It's been taken care of," he said, sitting down next to me. He reached out and tucked a piece of hair behind my ear. All the recent events came rushing back into my memory, making my head hurt. I lifted my hands to my temples, and got struck with multiple pains.
I held my left hand out in front of me and saw it was in a cast. I suddenly had a flashback of Jack shoving me back in the chair, my full weight crashing down on my fingers.
I slowly moved my right hand to where I felt the sharp pain at my temple. My fingers brushed against a thick bandage. I looked up at Alex, meeting his pained eyes.
"Do you remember?" he asked. Sam walked over and sat on the other side of me. Her lips were pursed tight.
"I... I put a gun to my head," I whispered, looking down, trying to remember more.
"You pulled the trigger," Sam said, her brows pulled together tight. My head jerked up and my eyes widened. I remembered.
If I'm dead, you guys don't get your revenge.
You guys won't be getting away with this.
And now I'm making sure of that.
