In a dimension where animals were able to talk, there lived a lone wolf. The wolf was abandoned when he was pup because he was the weakest of his three siblings. He was fond of Identity theft, stealing the identities of other animals so he can eat their children once he’d gained their trust. He knew it wasn’t the most noble of hunting styles but he always said to himself… “Food gained through hard work, whether the means are good or bad, is good food.”

One day he found another easy hunt. His contact said that a group of sheep was hauled up in a local barn waiting for their mother. First, he tried the direct approach and simply asked if he could be let in. But Sheep refused to open the door to anyone but their mother. Using the advance technology available to him, he injected a morphing agent into his body causing him to temporarily transform into an adult female sheep.

“I hope these sheep are worth it, I’ve used up all of my ACME morphing serum.” The wolf muttered to himself as he was walking towards the barn. He approached the door and nonchalantly said “Open up kids, mother is here.” There was slight whisper behind the door. It suddenly opened revealing the five gloomy tear-filled sheep. One of the sheep said “I’m tired of living this sad life… Come on kill me or eat me! I don’t care anymore!” The wolf, still in disguised, was surprised by this and simply stood there and stared. “Our mother was killed by the humans! We have nothing more to live for.” Another sheep replied. The wolf was suddenly filled with anger and kicked the door shut. “You sheep are useless! I’ll come back later to eat you; you sheep better open the door more bravely next time.” The wolf went home to his mountain strong hold irritated. The morphing serum wore off shortly after.

He sat at the bottom of a tree and pondered. “Those stupid sheep… I didn’t even have a family and I survived perfectly fine without one.” The wolf let out a long sigh and said “But why do I feel so sorry for them?” He sat there longer, remembering his last memories of his parents as he was being abandoned “Screw you! Parents” He yelled at the sky.

As he had promised, he returned to the barn to eat the sheep. But to his surprise a bunch of humans tore the door down herding the sheep to their truck. “They’ll make a good sacrifice to the empire.” The other man said. One of the humans spotted the wolf and said “A wolf? Here? What does it want?” The wolf gave no mercy as he leaped and bit the human’s throat, instantly killing him. The sheep were confused. “Why would a wolf risk attacking a human? When he could have just ran away.” They asked themselves. “Run away sheep! I’ll distract them.” The wolf screamed to the sheep. The humans ignored the escaping sheep and surrounded the wolf.

The wolf said while facing certain death in the hands of the humans “I hope you sheep will have a better life than mine…”
