The light dimmed. The remaining members of the The Six gazed on as the smoke cleared. Mi also was looking from her hiding place, as eager as the fighters to see the outcome of the two young warriors. An image was seen through the now faint dust, followed by another. They both came out into the clear. The Sanskrit and his friend. The Six applauded them, for they had showed both strength and skill. Duiguid looked head-on into the rafters and spoke. "You can come down now." Mi was shocked. with her skill as it is, even the Elders of the village needed to use Anima Petere to find the area where she was. She smiled to herself. She knew at once what he was. Mi came down to congratulate the duo, but before she could, Sadigq collapsed from fatigue. Duiguid was tired himself, but his new ability provided energy absorbing some of the hits from the plasma waves. He looked down at Sadigq then at Mi. "You knew we were injured yet sent us in. Why?"
"I had no choice. You must be made elligable before the two day deadline, and although I don't think you need training, the Elders do." It was then brought to Duiguid's attention that The Six were in fact the Elders. He stood in awe. Number 3 saw his expression and laughed. "Nah, we ain't th' Elders bwoy, we're their guards. One f' each Elder."
Duiguid sighed. "Well that's a relief." he thought. He bent down picked Sadigq up and took him to the Mi's house, which also sided as the medicine hut. He laid him on a cot and being tired, went to one of his own. He was so tired that he didn't remember to thank The Six for approving him.Or to see if Numbers 1 & 2 were okay. He fell asleep immediately.
As he slept, Mi entered, accompanied by a shadowy figure. "Are they at rest?" The figure asked. Mi nodded. "Good. Perform both test tomorrow instead of one." The figure placed their hand over their bodies a strange, dim glow coming from the hut.
The sun rose faintly over the horizon. The light crept into Mi's hut through the open window, warming Duiguid's face. He awoke. He turned over to see if Sadigq was still the cot on the other side of the room. The cot was empty. Empty? He jumped up and ran outside. Then he noticed something. He wasn't cramping up, nor was feeling the effects of his previous battle. He was wondering if the Nightpriest had anything to do with this. But then again, he had no dreams or visions concerning him. One of the Elders in the village maybe? But he just got here. Why heal him? His mind was distraught, until he heard the falling of trees in the distance. He knew what it meant and using stealth, raced five miles south of the village. He arrived to find Sadigq undergoing training, as he adjusted himself to his new chain. He called out to him. They welcomed each other and sat under a nearby tree. Sadigq looked at the chain in his hand. "I know why you came to talk." he said. "But it isn't the priest. "Duiguid looked shocked. "You too?"
"Yeah."
"I know it wasn't him. I saw who dropped the chain." Sadigq couldn't believe what he was hearing, but he wasn't surprised either. After all Duiguid was a Lycan. "Who was it?" he asked. Duiguid hung his head. "Not sure. caught a small glimpse as he passed. He had blonde hair and wore a gold mask. That's all I saw." Sadigq hesitated. He got up and began pacing his mind racing with random thoughts. Duiguid looked at him, a bit puzzled. "What?"
Sadigq was trying to remember what he saw yesterday, but he wasn't sure. He recalled seeing someone of that exact description among the students who were there. Was it possible? He was wondering if perhaps someone other than the priest was helping them. But even that, he was unsure of. He decided to narrow down what he knew. The priest wasn't there. And if he was, he would most definently not interfere. Winston and Wye were way out the question. So that left one other possible option. "Duiguid." Sadigq asked. "Did you ever recall seeing the priest traveling with an accomplice? A bodyguard maybe?" Without paused Duiguid remembered seeing someone one the cliff with the priest when he had escaped the burning prison. He nodded. hen he saw what Sadigq was trying to tell him. "You mean....."
