Miguel and Kenta watch feverishly as the doctor tends to Cali and Nathan. "Will they be okay?" Kenta asks. The doctor turns to her, his face showings signs of unsurity. "Can't say. The Cyanide Chant is a powerful technique. All our methods have proven worthless. We can only hope for a miracle."Tears slowly descend from Kenta's face. She can't perish the thought of losing the only friend she's made since she started this journey. She runs out of the room and into the streets, in the direction of the pavillion. Miguel too is distraught, but he tries to retain himself. Despite what had happened, he knew that the doctor was right. Unless they found someone with a great knowledge on the Lost Chants, both will die slowly from the posion. He rubbed his eyes. "So tired." He said. "Don't fight it." said the doctor. "He's arrived." It was at this point that a very elderly man came through the door. He was about seven feet tall, with crisp white hair. He wore a strange white outfit with silver shells and other smaller object that were difficult to make out. But before he could ask or say anything, Miguel fell immeadiately asleep.
Sometime later, he woke up.
Confused as to what happened, he looked around in earnest for the doctor, who was sitting calmly in a far corner of the hut, a pipe in his mouth. As the Hut was rather a large one, it was hard to make from where he was, what exactly the doctor was saying. As he drew nearer, the doctor took notice of his approach and beckoned to him. "My apologies for three days ago. That was Sentetsu. He is the oldest of all the healing mages here and probably the best. Moved here four years ago and since then we've never had to worry about sickness or diseases."Miguel thought for while but then his mind snapped back to something. "Hey, where's that girl?" With the slghtest movement of his hand the doctor pointed towards the left side of the room. There was Kenta, sound asleep, her body wrapped in aura of peace.
Meanwhile, Sadigq and Ko are still unconcious and lying on the ground. The crowd is in awe at this amazing spectacle. Neither of the two have yet to recover from their previous attacks. The judge comes out and casts a thai to determine whether or not they were dead. Then he made the announcement."Ladies and gentlemen, in an unbelievable turn of events we have for the first time a tie!" While Mi could hardly believe what she was hearing, Duiguid was smiling silently to himself. "So they did flunk after all." Mi looked at him still suspended by her own disbelief. "You mean you knew this was going to happen?" He nodded. "They both have the same fighting spirit. One that doesn't give up. The only result here was as seen. Everyone watched as the elder, for the first time in a hundred years, came out to declare the winner of a preliminary match. He beckoned to Mi to come down and prepare to treat the wounded fighters. Everyone was silent as the Elder raised his hand. Whoever the winner was, would be affected by his Banchi energy, their body slowly lifting from the ground. As he slowly lifted his hand, Ko's body rose faintly. The elder wasn't pleased about this, but he ignored it. The decision made, everyone cheered as Ko was declared winner. Mi went out to greet the Elder as he returned. "Something wrong your grace? You seemed disturbed by something." The Elder looked at Mi, his face wrapped in puzzlement. "I had actually chosen the other one.""Then what happened?"
"Someone or something re-directed my magic aura.
"Sadigq awoke to find to find that he was no longer in the arena. But neither was he in the medical hut. Instead, he found imself in in vast, dark wasteland, the shadows of which were deafening. "What is this?" he thought, "The Underworld? Am I...dead?". Then he heard a voice. "Far from it." The voice was all too familiar. "The priest." So saying he saw the priest emerge amidst the shadows of the vast plain. "You training is over for now. You will now withdraw from the tournament." Sadigq was as confused as he was angry from what he just heard. "Withdraw?! What the hell are you thinking?" The priest just stared at him. His souless expression almost hidden within the confines of his mask, his purple eyes looking dead into Sadigq's own. "Have you forgotten already our current agreement?" He lifted his hand slightly and immediately sent a wave of pain through his body. Sadigq knelt in torment, the pain being directly in his chest. He looked down at his chest and saw that the restriction rune or more precise, the Sen-Ki-Wahn chant was intensely glowing. He cringed in disgust as he stared at the priest. "I believe that we made a deal, and I expect you to honor it. You do understand the meaning of that word, don't you?" Then, as calm as he had came, so did he leave. As he departed, he spoke. "When the tournament is over, you shall regain your powers. But only if you acknowledge what you deny." Then, he disappeared, leaving Sadigq confused with his odd puzzle.
