"Gods, this is a good hamburger!"
"Cause your eating it pink, Alex."
"Oh shut up Herc!"
"Flame on, Torchy!"
"Jerkules!"
"Cinderella!"
"Son of a-"
"Guys!" Both Alex and Herc stopped their bickering as soon as Jonny shouted at them, both turning to the two guys who haven't spoken in a long while. Jonny looked like he was about to bite their heads off horribly. "Will you two just calm the hell down and control your ADHD for ten minutes while we try and decipher this damn prophecy?"
"But I already know what it means." Alex said as she took a nice big bite of her bacon cheese burger. "It's not rocket science!"
"Then share with the class, Torchy!" Herc said, smacking her upside the head. She whimpered and punched him back.
"Let me finish my food first, dude!" She snapped, a funny grin on her face when the son of Aries fell backwards onto the floor. She looked over at Nick, who had been silent for the whole time they had gotten away from the Big House. He looked like he was trying to understand anything at all, maybe he was going to go mad from trying to figure it out. Eating as fast as she could, she washed her burger and fries down with some Mountain Dew and started explaining. "It's really too simple for words! 'Four half-bloods enter through the gate' means we go to the Underworld., 'But one to seal the other's fate' is probably talking about Nick taking on the guy who stole Liz, 'Two to trust, one to not' is something to do with us or something, 'Three unborn to be sought' might mean we need to talk to some stillborn spirits, and the rest I am confused on completely!"
"Well, that's at least a start." Jonny said, groaning in agitation. "Maybe this isn't going to be as easy as we thought."
Nick sighed and stood up. "We leave by four. Meet by Thalia's tree and we will head out from there." And with that, he turned and headed to his cabin in fast and long paced strides. Herc and Alex looked at each other and grinned widely.
"Chariot of Damnation?"
"Twenty drachma says it's not."
"You're on, Flame Princess."
"You are going to loose, War Reject."
"Are you two going to be doing this the whole time we are with him?" Jonny said, an edge of annoyance in his voice. Both Aex and Herc smirked and shrugged.
"All depends on if it's a good time."
"You know, like with Deadpool. He always makes it funny when he can." Herc added, high fiving her when she squealed.
"You know, if you two weren't the most skilled and talented kids in Camp, I think we would all know where you would be going instead of here."
"Tartarus?" Alex said, tilting her head.
"No no no!" Herc said, bumping her shoulder. "He means the funny farm." Alex gasped and stared wide eyed at her boyfriend.
"That's worse than Tartarus!"
"I know." Jonny said, rolling his eyes and standing up. "Come on love, I might as well walk with you to go pack our things." Alex jumped to her feet and took her boyfriend's arm and started walking back to their cabin. Herc waved them goodbye as they went, pulling out a crystal from his back pocket and heading for Labyrinth Entrance Rock.
He needed to give Tina a head start.
The Gorgon looked at the blank room with a scowl on her face. It was time to redecorate, but into what? There was so many things to choose from! She could go Otaku and put up all the anime stuff she collected, she could go Steampunk, Hippie, Heavy Mettle, Pirates, Under the Sea, maybe even a Belle kind of deal with the huge library from Beauty and the Beast. But what to choose? The decision was going to drive her nuts!
