"THAT'S THIS?!"
Elisabeth looked up suddenly, shocked by what she was hearing. It was a beautiful summer day, both of them laying in the shade of Thalia's Tree as Alex read one of her crazy stories she made up just a few weeks before coming back for Elisabeth's fourth year of Camp Half Blood. It was so hot out, but the two best friends sat there together shoulder to shoulder as if it was nothing. Which it kind of was for Alex, being a child of the God of Forges and all.
"What are you freaking talking about, Alex? I'm letting you read these, isn't that enough?"
"No!" She shouted, jumping to her feet and slamming the black binder down. "THIS IS NOT OK!"
Elisabeth sighed and rolled her eyes. "It's just a story, none of it is real. What was so bad about it?"
"You became an overpowered character, you gave yourself a romance with your best friend, AND you killed yourself off!" She screamed, pulling at her white hair. "Your acting like this doesn't mean anything yet it took you months to do?! And it's not even finished!?"
"Calm down, hot head." Elisabeth sighed quietly. "It's just a story, like I said."
"No." Alex said, plopping right down on Elisabeth's lap like is was not even the slightest bit weird and glared straight into her amber eyes. "It's a gateway into your freaking head and you are either crazy suicidal or not sharing the LSD your tripping on, cause there is no way you can come up with that for a DEMIGOD without being either of the two!"
Elisabeth stared back into those emerald eyes with a little hint of amusement and a smile. "So... You hate it?"
"Never said that." She shot back, crossing her arms over her camp shirt with the collar and sleeves cut out. "You and I both know full well you needed more of me in this, but girl..."
"What?"
"You have some sexual tension to deal with if your crushing on your boyfriend's twin brother."
"Oh shut up." Elisabeth laughed, pushing her off and letting her hair flow over her bare shoulders. "It's just a crush, won't ever happen."
"Fuck that shit, we both know it will." Alex laughed, sprawling where she ended up. "And I actually ship LoveShadow."
"LoveShadow?" She asked, arching a delicate eyebrow. Alex shrugged, smiling a little.
"Yeah, you being a daughter of Aphrodite and him a son of Hades is cute. So, as I was reading, I came up with a name for it." Elisabeth rolled her eyes. "I know, cheesy, but fuck you and your thoughts this whole story is full on crazy."
"So don't finish it?" Elisabeth asked, rolling her shoulders a little as she closed her eyes.
"Never said that." Alex mused. "Just... Well, explain something to me."
"Hm?" Elisabeth hummed. "What do I need to explain?"
"Did you two do it?"
"No."
"Did she die?"
"Yes."
"Is she pulling a Phenix?"
"That's my secret."
"Is Nick going to kill her?"
"Not that very day."
"But he is."
"And end up killing them both in an act of 'I love you, so no one else can have you' deal."
"And the rings?"
"Stupidity that just happened."
"Aaahhhh.... It just ended up in there?"
