"Hurry up Elisabeth, we can't stay here all too long."
"I'm still changing out of this dress! Give me a break."
"Will not if you don't hurry up."
"Then you come in here and undo the zipper!"
"You told me not to."
"Then you have to wait!"
"By the gods..." Henry slumped against the door frame of Elisabeth's room as she changed into something more travel approved. Knowing her, she was modifying another shirt or something. Sometimes this woman infuriates him and he forgets why he even fell in love with her to begin with. The newer member of this party silently smirked on next to him, looking not at all the amazing things in the hallway but at the door.
"You know," the electric blond said in his rather annoying smarty voice. "if you keep pestering her like this she might not ever be ready to leave."
"As much of a help you've been, I suggest you shut up before you annoy me worse than her." Henry hissed, trying not to seem on edge. "Besides, till you have a real name, I'm not going to acknowledge your existence."
"Astrpí Kléftis is an amazing name. Much like you and our sisters are amazing."
"Yeah, well I don't personally like calling myself Dark Fire in Greek, so if you like calling yourself Lightning Thief all the power to you. But please, for us who actually want to seem a bit normal, choose a normal name."
"Fine." The blond boy huffed, closing his eyes and leaning on the wall. "How about.... Keith Mars."
"As in the character from that old TV show?" Henry questioned.
"What's a TV show?"
"Oh never mind."
"All right!" Elisabeth opened her door, dressed in a colorful yet simple blue Skillet t-shirt with a little pink monster saying "I feel like a monster." She had modified it by cutting off the collar so it wasn't around her neck so much and the sleeves were cut into strips so that they flapped in the wind. As well as it being trademark too big and needing to be tied down where the schemes used to be over a pair of ripped up jeans which more looked like leggings and her beat up, worn out, knee high Doc Martins on her feet. Her trusty bracelets were on, a drawstring bag slung over her shoulder with all manner of useful and surprising goodies courtesy of Tina over her shoulder, and a sly grin on her face made Henry remember why he loved her to no end all over again. "Shall we sneak out?"
"I can't shadow travel out of here." Henry admitted, which only made Elisabeth's sly smile turn even devious-er.
"Just means I get to have more fun." Elisabeth said as she started at a dead run down the hallway towards the staircases while both boys watched after her.
"Dude, our sister is hot." Keith said after a low whistle.
"I think you should have called yourself Dick Casablancas." Henry mused as he punched Keith in the chest.
"Why?"
"Cause you are acting just like him." To avoid having to explain what he meant, Henry took off after Elisabeth, not even surprised when Keith stood there for a few seconds with his mind trying to unravel what he said to even notice. And it was his idea we were fallowing? If Zues used to be like this, I can imagine Hera having a hard time even coping with the fact he was stupid as hell.
It only took till the library when Keith managed to catch up, and that seemed to be their stop. Henry saw Elisabeth go right up to the outer window that was hidden behind a million shelves and not even break the glass to get it open. How she knew how to open the window was beyond me since this place was built just like an old Victorian style castle that didn't have hinges on windows, but Henry learned way earlier in life that it was just Elisabeth and run with it. Keith, on the other hand, was like a newborn. He didn't know this rule.... Yet.
"So, how did you manage to do that?" Keith asked before Elisabeth had time to open her mouth to relay instruction. She blinked, then looked at Henry like it was something he was suppose to mention to the new kid.
"Uhhh, I have two children of Hephaestus and a boyfriend from that cabin. Trust me, the things you learn in the forge."
Keith arched his eyebrows and looked at her like he just realised she was the most amazing person on Earth, Underworld, Stars, and Olympus combined. Henry rolled his eyes as yet another man fell into that trap she didn't even know she laid out for them.
"Anyway, what's the plan Liz?" Henry asked, looking out the window at the shadowy inkness that seemed to have appeared out of no where and down to the at least seven thousand foot drop. "And please don't tell me you are winging it."
"I'm not." Elisabeth said with a grin. "Keith," She turned her gleaming amber eyes on him without even a hesitation, catching the blue eyed teen by surprise. "Can you fly?"
"Haven't tried, but I think I can." He admitted.
"Then I need you to try, then take me and Henry down with you slowly to the ground and we take off running to Orpheasus step. We can't risk going out the other entrance."
Henry nodded. "She's right on that. Keith, time to strut your stuff for the group."
Keith looked a little less than please, but he nodded. Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath of death reaking air and walked up to the window. Looking at Elisabeth, then at Henry, he gulped. "What... What if this doesn't work."
"Then I will make sure to take your spirit up to the world above with us." Elisabeth said sweetly. "But I know you have it in you to do this so just take a deep breath and take the dive."
"But... I don't want to die."
That made Henry and Elisabeth look at each other, knowing exactly what he was talking about. There was no person alive that didn't fear death, not even gods. Why would godlngs be exempted?
"Keith" Elisabeth took his hand gently in her's and kissed it. "I know you can do this, and if you want, I will jump with you."
"Hey, I fallow her anywhere." Henry mused, smiling cockily at Keith. "So you got me going with you too."
Keith smiled a little, the edge of nervouness taking itself away from the edge of his throat.
"Together?" He asked, and they both nodded.
"Togeather."
Then they jumped.
