[Dan's flat - Sunday Morning]

Dan's POV

You'd think that after 10 years of graduating high school, my life would ease up and finally calm down.

Well, I thought wrong.

Terribly wrong.

Ever since I graduated high school, college went by in a breeze and I managed to get myself a culinary degree. Tyler got one too after Jacob basically threatened to breakup with him.

The others also got their degrees and we ended up splitting up and going in different directions. Mark stayed with me though. He works as a chemistry teacher in a nearby high school, while I work as a chef in a famous restaurant.

We were together up until college ended. After that, we decided to spend a little time away, so we could get our lives together.

'A little time' ended up being 6 years. We stayed as friends though, so things weren't entirely different. But, it's not like we got to see each other that much.

Just for a couple hours here and there. As far as I know, Mark had a few flings too. Surprisingly enough, it doesn't bother me. I guess it's because our breakup was justified, and he wasn't serious about those guys.

I don't really know what the others are doing, except Grey. He's a soccer coach in a different state. Grey still calls me every day to update me on the drama that happens in his school.

Apparently, the girls trust him enough to tell him about their drama.

I don't understand kids anymore.

"Danny! Your phone is ringing and it's some unknown number!" Tyler yells, from across my flat.

Unfortunately for me, Tyler happens to work in the same restaurant as me. Fortunately, Jacob doesn't live in the same town as us. He lives about 3 hours away.

Usually, Tyler goes to Jacob, so I don't need to worry about seeing Snarky Snow White on a daily basis.

"Just answer my phone, Ty." I shout back, flopping down on my bed. I run a hand through my black hair – which desperately needs to be cut.

Yeah...certain habits don't go away easily.

Tyler comes in my room, grinning like an idiot while talking on my phone. I raise an eyebrow at him. His typically dark amber eyes have lightened up to the point where they look almost golden like mine.

"Danny! It's Olivia!" He exclaims, jumping on my bed and shoving my phone in my face. I take it from him and press it to my ear.

"Oli?" I ask, in a small voice. It's been so fricking long since I've heard Olivia's voice.

"DANNY!" she exclaims, sounding super excited.

I smile at the sound of her annoying voice. "What's up, Liv?"

"Oh my god, Dan, I love how your voice is so deep now! I bet you're taller now too! Maybe even have a more muscular frame and – "

"Okay, Livvy, let's stop fantasizing."

"Right! I called for an actual reason!"

"Which is...?"

"I want to have a reunion back in our old hometown."

"Uh...when exactly do you plan on having his reunion?"

"Maybe in about a week? I'm still trying to get hold of the others, so it'd be nice if you could tell them. I was only able to call you, Mark and Noelle."
