So, Today's the day. Homecoming. To be honest I'm excited, yeah I'm not going with Jaeden, but hey! It's not gonna be that bad, I'm going with Corey, he's a great friend and a nice person to be around. Jaeden's going with Olive, she's my friend, so what could possibly go wrong?.

*Time skip*

Jaeden's POV

Olive & I just arrived, this is my first dance, I hope I do well, At least I know how to dance- kinda- a friend on my other school called Maddie, she's a dancer, she taught me some moves back then, it was for the school's talent show, we were participating together and she decided "dancing" was the best thing to choose, she said it only because she knew we were going to win thanks to her obviously.
But I still had to be in the choreography so I learned some moves from her.

There were a lot of people there already. Let's just say that we didn't arrive really early..

"Hey so..." [Olive]
"Uh.." [me]
"Wanna Dance?"
"Umm yeah sure, if you want to.." [Me]

Besides what Maddie taught me, I didn't really know how to dance, I had watched the classic movies were people dance in school events and that stuff, that in my opinion it's so cheesy and one of the reasons I don't watch as many romantic movies, but I had never really been to a school dance before so I didn't know what to do, I was literally standing in front of Olive doing nothing.

[Olive] "Here". She put both my hands around her waist and hers around my neck. "See, it's easy. Now you only have to kind of do this swing thing".

"Like this?" I tried to 'swing' myself but I don't think I did the best according to Olive's laughter.

"Yeah, just. Slower. You look like me when i dance alone with my broom while cleaning my room" she laughed lightly.

Y/N POV
I choose to wear a purple dress, short but not as short to cause the other people to think I'm part of my school's "plastics",(if you get that reference ily) that'd be the last thing I'd want. I put on some plain black converse, and no makeup except for a light pink lipstick.

I was all ready so I rushed downstairs and grabbed my house key's before leaving. "Bye, C ya Mom" I shouted so she'd hear me on the other room where she was. "Bye Sweetheart, I love you have fun ! Be back before 12:00 !!" "Surely will" I closed the door behind me and sat on my front door's stairs, I pulled my phone out and clicked on the little dot icon so I'd call the uber to get there.

*time skip*

15 minutes past and apparently the freaking uber didn't find my house or I don't know what happened that a men in a car asking for me never showed up.
So I had to order an other one that got my address right. When I finally arrived I saw Corey in a suit sitting at the school's front stairs waiting for me.

"Hey Corey, sorry I'm late."

"Nah, it's fine I arrived a few minutes ago. Also you look nice"

"thanks, you don't look too bad yourself " I joked and Corey laughed.

"Heh, thanks".

There was a short yet uncomfortable silence.

"So, let's get in" I said.

"Oh, yeah. right. Uh, let's go". He said and I giggled because of how nervous he was.

--Inside the school, at the dance---

The first person I saw was Jaeden, he was already dancing with Olive. I gotta say, I got a little jealous but I wasn't gonna let that ruin my night, plus there was nothing to be jealous about, it's a dance, dancing's what you're supposed to do and Olive's my friend. I was being stupid.

"Yeah..we're already late so what about start dancing ?"

"Sure" I said not paying much attention to Corey, my eyes were stuck on Jaeden & Olive's direction.

I felt his arms pulling me by my waist, I gave him a confused look.

"You're supposed to put your arms around my neck" he whispered.

"Right ! Right. "

"Let me guess, you haven't been in a dance before have you?"

"Waaaa!! I- I 've been to school dances before!"

"Really?!" He said in a fake surprised tone.

"Yeah, believe it or not I have". I respond in a defensive tone.

"Ok Ms. Y/L/N, show me what you got then".

"Hey! I never said I danced. I mean, yeah I've been to dances before but I never really dance".

"Yeah, I don't know why but I'm not surprised about that". He said with a smirk plastered along his face.

"Shut up Corey" I was smiling too because I knew he was joking and so I punched his arm softly.

"Ok.ok. You win. I don't know how but you win. Now less talk and more dance, you're making a scene".

"Oh ! I'm making a scene?! You're saying I'm the one making a scene?" I raised my tone and pretend to look surprised.

We were both laughing, I swear our laughter could be heard by everyone in the room but we didn't really care because people didn't either, so basically there was nothing to worry about .

See Y/N! I told you it was gonna be fine. Corey's a good friend and you're both having a good time. Stupid Idiot.

"Yes you are, now..."  He grabbed my hands and put them around his neck and replaced his around my waist.

Before we started dancing I took a quick look around, I saw Jaeden, he was looking back at me & Corey with his hands around Olive's waist.
