"Savannah Lawson, she died years ago," She told me."How did you find out...?" I asked her hesitantly.
"Well, I remember you," She said.
"When I was pregnant with Rylee, Savannah really wanted a child but she couldn't have one but she found you on the streets when you were a day old. You and Rylee were friends until you guys were 3. We moved after that and never fully returned to Manchester except for small trips but Rylee never went back. Years later, when Dulce was born, Savannah and Isaac were killed by the mafia," She explained.
"You know the mafia?" I ask her.
"Truely, I do. But it's best if I don't tell you who he is. Just know, your well out of his capture. But you must be careful. He is a scary man and of big power," She tells me.
"But why have you kept quiet about my identity..?" I keep questioning her.
"Because, I wanted to see how far you could have gone without revealing it. You've become a beautiful young lady, Miracle Lawson," She explained. I fell down on my knees from pain. Of course, you can always heal physically but mentally... It's nearly impossible. I wish I could hear from my parent's mouth that I look beautiful. No matter what I do, No matter I try, No compliment will be as special as theirs. Aunt Renee pulls into a hug and I tell her that I already told Rylee about this. She warns us both quite a few times that we must be really careful. Some time later, she brought a book, with pictures of me and Rylee from when we were kids.
"Oh look! I am so CUTE!" Rylee squeals. I'd giggle at her expression. We took pictures on our phones of pictures of us together from the album. I'm going to admit. I WAS THE CUTEST THING EVER BUT that doesn't remain anymore so no need to worry. Seconds later, I get a message from "him".
Him : Hi.
Me : Hi!
Him : How are you? Have you been sick?
Me : I'm totally fine. I just didn't respond since I didn't have my notifications on. I had no idea you were messaging me for so long... Sorry...
Him : It's alright, don't worry. You're busy?
Me : Not really, I was just at my friends house.
Him : Aha, I see. Well I'll message you later, I don't want to ruin your time with her.
Me : Oh don't worry, I really don't mind.
Him : Sure?
Me : Completely.
Him : I tried guessing who you are, I got some clues but... I guess I want to be surprised.
Me : Totally, do you want to meet somewhere?
Him : It'd would be ironic since we maybe meet everyday but we don't know.
Me : Haha, yeah completely. Let's play 21 questions, we can guess our identities then?
Him : Sure, though don't get so stingy, Miss secret.
Me : Hah, I won't.
We go through the questions quickly and it was pretty fun. Though the last question he asked me, did make me kinda guess his identity.
Him : Do you think green eyes are piercing?
Me : Why would ask that?
Him : Nothing to be honest.
And that's the exact thing I had said to Dominic Pierce. And thinking about it, he also uses this messaging thing. It could be a good chance it's Dominic Pierce. Before I could ask anything, he had to go. My curious cells were rushing again. Is this really The Dominic Pierce that I hated a few days ago and Now, I'm fine with? If it is, I don't know how to tell him that it's me, Miracle Lawson. Oh lord. I need more proof that it's him. I probably need his phone. Okay now, I sound like a creep. This internal thoughts need to stop. I slap myself internally and continue to talk to Aunt Renee and Rylee. To be honest, I don't know Rylee's dad. He's pretty much working all the time. I wonder if he's as kind as Aunt Renee.
"Okay girls, since it's pretty late, I'll go to bed. Don't stay up too long okay?" Aunt Renee tells us.
"Alright, Goodnight!" We scream together.
"Scary stories in the dark?" Rylee questions me
"Sureeeeeeeee!" I scream and we run into the tent. And for your information, Rylee told the stories. She's a good story teller. I actually can't believe that we're childhood friends. It's pretty great. We were awake till 7 am and as soon as the sun came out, our lights went out. I just hope, my life can remain happy, even just for a bit. Just so I can ease the pain I've lived with ever since. I just hope, happiness can be brought back, once again.
