note: just remember i know nothing about inheritance, etc. so i'm sorry if i make any mistakes or errors.

Melissa adopted alyssa to get the propery. if she murders alyssa before alyssa is 18, then the property will be passed down to the nearest relative to alyssa's mother. since melissa is alyssa's step sister(melisas dad and alyssa's mother's mother then divorced so not rlly step sister), the propery will pass down to Anna, alyssa's mother's biological sister. mike and melissa want to murder alyssa after she turns 18, because they'll be her closest relative as her mum. tyler is basically getting close to alyssa to spy on her. tyler is mike's nephew and je has to do it bc tyler owes mike something. melissa wants to keep the property all t herself, but then mike records a rc of her saying her plan, and mike threatens her with it to get part of the property.

later mike finds out from tyler that alysss knows about the plan, and throws melissa under the bus.

Melissa's POV

I led Mike inside a room, as I locked the door.

He was first to speak, "She's turning 18 soon, we ca

"But I won't." I confirm. God knows that the child has been more than a handful to deal with. I had to adopt the damn psycho.

Her mother - my sister, had given me the rights to the inheritance, until Alyssa turned 18. That was a mistake on her part, since it will never happen. I was going to keep the house.

The whole family is a bunch of gullible idiots, if you ask me.

At first I thought it would be tough to steal the rights of the propery, but then Mike offered his help in return for half the property.

Greedy bastard.

But I agreed anyway. He has a lot of connections with people, which is a plus.

If only Jerry knew about this, he would never agree. That old man loved Alyssa way too much. But it's not his choice.

I was drawn out of my thoughts as Mike spoke.

"But he won't." He grinned so evily that I was regretting my deal with the devil.

I smiled, as he reached down to kiss me, and soon I began to forget about my thoughts.

Alyssa's POV

I leaned against the door, to hear inaudible muffled whispers. Soon they stopped, and was replaced by grunts and groans.

My eyes widened in both surprise and anger.

I couldn't believe Melissa would do that to Jerry. Jerry was one of the nicest man I've ever known, and he definitely didn't deserve this.

And with Mike? Mike didn't seem to be the type that would cheat with a married woman.

I wondered if I should turn over a blind eye. I couldn't even imagine how heartbroken Jerry would be if he found out.
