MIRIAM’S P.O.V

“You done, Mi?”  I heard Connor’s knocking from outside.

“Sure, come on in.”

“Okay, I made you this.”  He was feeding me hot soup as I rested my body on his bed.  “Feeling any better?”

“So much better, thanks Con.”

We had a perfect silence as Connor kept feeding me the soup, when suddenly my phone rang from beside me.

“Excuse me,” I gave my weak smile to Connor as he nodded, eating his own soup, and I laughed a bit because of it.

“Yeah, sorry…”  I bowed my face when speaking through phone in front of Connor; because no way I could go anywhere better thanks to the bleeding knee.  “I told you I’m sorry about that!”  I finally yelled a bit which made Connor shocked.

“What was that?”  Connor mouthed.

I shook my head still concernedly speaking to the phone.

“That’s why I'm wondering if you really care about me.  Whatever, it’s just not now, whether you like it or not.”  I hang up the phone and bowed my face even deeper, not ready to faced Connor.

“Mimi,”

He placed the bowl on the table and played with my hand; intertwined my fingers, covered my hand with his hand, drew his name on the top of my hand, everything.  It’s kind of our thing when we’re about to have some serious talks.

“May I ask you who that was?”  This time he also bowed his face, like once he rested his head on my lap.

“Rob…”

“Robert?”

“Yeah…”  I started to cry.

“Who’s he to you?”  Connor tried his best to look normal.

“Connor…”

“Miriam, please…  Just answer.”

“B…boy…boyfriend…”

A second after I told him the truth, I felt his tears were falling down on my hand.  It’s just hurt, so much.

“When did this…oh God…happen?”  He took one deep breath still playing with my hand.  His voice was shaking.

“When you’re on tour…”

“Am I too bad for you?”

“Connor…  My goodness…  Don't do this...”

“Am I, too bad, for you?”  He spoke even slower.

“No, not at all…  You’re the best…”

He kissed top of my hand, and started drawing something on it with his finger: IT HURTS.
