MIRIAM’S P.O.V

I barely heard anything from Rob.  He was so mad about our breakup.  Who could blame him right?  It’s not the condition you wanted to be in.  So yeah, I was all alone.  Not with Rob, neither with Connor.  I hate how my life changed from the colorful one to be the one like this.  There was no water balloon fights, ever again.  We’d always gather but it’s just to see them having rehearsal, or to mention the fact that I've been sleepover for three days in here.  Connor and I would just throw a look to each other, having some awkward conversations.  Things just became so complicated lately.  And to add the complication, the boys would leave anytime soon to The Dangerous Tour or whatever they called it.

“Con, I’m going home.  Meet you again tomorrow.”  I stood in front of his room.

“I’ll drive you but hang on a second and help me with these…”  He pointed to the messiest room of the year you could give it an award or something.  This was happening when a Connor McDonough tried to pack.

“Oh gosh, when did the last time you learn how to manage your stuff?”

“It’s too long I can’t remember.  Help me please, Mi…”

“Okay, stay right there, close your eyes, count to 20, and wait until my next command.”  I pushed him over.

“One, two, three, four, five…”

“Slower, Connie.”

“One……two……three……”

“That way is right.”  I smiled even though Connor couldn’t see it.  This situation reminded me of what we had when we were children; that counting stuff, we’d always do that whenever one of us was preparing something.

“Done; turn around.”  I only needed like 2 minutes to pack his stuff.  It’s only 3 shoes with bunch of white tees – but Connor only threw them here and there so he actually did nothing.

“WOW, that’s amazing!  You can pack it in just a second!”

“It’s 2 minutes silly.”

“Yeah you’re the best, thanks babe.”

He came closer to me which I didn’t feel really…  No it’s comfortable at all I’d like to hug him but wasn’t it wrong?

“You’re welcome…”

I could feel his breathe met my face for a single minute.  He placed his hands around my waist, after he placed my hands on his neck.

“Stay, please…”  He begged me.

“You know I have school tomorrow.”

“Just bring the laptop here, I’ll take everything you want but please, stay…”

“I’ve stayed for three days McDonough, that’s not good, I take your space when I sleep and it’s bothering you I know…”

“I don’t mind as long as it’s you…”  He gently placed his forehead to mine.

“HAH you’re liar…  You’d never like when somebody take your space.”  I released my hands from his neck but he squeezed my waist.

“Yeah I’m a liar and you still love me, right?”

“Um…let me think first about it…”  I placed my finger on my head, thinking.

“And I’m waiting for the answer, no matter how long it takes you to tell me.”

He kissed my forehead and released me as I was standing right there freezing.  He took the car key from the table, grabbed my hand, and led me downstairs.  I couldn’t breathe, you know.
