~Aleks' POV~
I awoke with a smile as I jumped out of bed.
The sooner I got to school the sooner Eddie could get to my house! This was going to be so sick! We were planning to stay up all night!
I ran over to my walk-in closet, swinging the door open and rummaging through its contents. I pulled out a red MonsterCat shirt and black skinny jeans, and my signature red Adidas. I pulled on the shirt over my head and pushed my white pale legs through the thin fabric of my jeans. I shoved my feet into my shoes and looked at myself in the mirror.
Something was missing...
Ah, of course! I laughed as I grabbed one of the many beanies I had in my drawer.
I fixed a red beanie onto my head and brushed the remaining hair on my face off to the side.
I had already taken a shower the night before so I didn't have to today!
I swung my backpack over my shoulder and hopped down the stairs over to the kitchen; my mom was making french toast.
The cinnamon aroma hit me hard and my mouth instantly became watery as I breathed in the magnificent scent.
"Morning, Mom! Ahh... That smells great!" I smiled, walking over to her and greeting her a kiss on the cheek.
"Aww, thanks, hun! Can you get me a plate? ... You excited for today?" she asked happily, pouring me some milk from the fridge.
"How couldn't I be?!" I laughed, grabbing a plate and handing to her. "Eddie and I have been waiting for this all week, and to think everyone believes we don't have plans!" I laughed as she handed me the plate and glass of my breakfast.
"Yeah... Jokes on them..." She laughed awkwardly turning her attention back to the coffee she had been brewing for herself.
"Mom? What's up?" I knew what she was thinking already...
I knew she had been wanting me to get a girlfriend and I know where she's coming from... but I just don't know why it's not happening...
She wants her 14 year old son to have a girlfriend, and I'm really trying.
All the girls are sluts though, ever since they hit puberty, and while I try to 'check some out', all I see are low cut skirts, ultra skinny jeans/shirts and anorexic bitches. (No offense)
I've tried swinging a few gaming references by some of the 'nicer' girls but the only thing I get back are, "What are you talking about?" or "Ew, you're such a nerd!"
So I've stopped trying and if it's meant to be, it'll happen, hopefully...
She could never tell me that straight though... I'd been trying to get a girlfriend, and sometimes I wonder if the other kids at school are right, and I am meant to be with Eddie that way...
I just can't see myself with him that way, but I just don't see myself dating a girl anymore...
My mom knew about the whole girlfriend thing and she understood why I couldn't, but I feel as if I need to do this for her...
"I-It's- It's nothing, sweetie. I-I hope you have a good day today!" she smiled warmly and walked over to me, kissing my cheek.
"Ok." I said, taking a bite of my French toast and gulping down my milk.
Once I finished I checked the clock and saw it was almost time to get to the bus stop.
I walked over to my skateboard that was leaning beside the front door. I grabbed it and opened the door.
"Mom! I'm going now!"
"Ok! Bye, dear!"
I shut the door and made my way over to the sidewalk. I set my skateboard on the floor, easily pushing myself forward on it.
I rode a bit slower than usual to my bus-stop, only to have a bit of fun on my board.
My dad had given one to me when I was 7. My parents got divorced that same year because of something I never knew of, and I always thought it was my fault.
My mother would always insist it wasn't anything I had caused. I was so young anyway and I don't really remember much of him, I haven't seen him since, and I don't really want to.
I picked up a bit more speed as I saw the stop sign come into view, Eddie leaning on it playing a game on his iPhone.
I rode up next to him before coming to a stop and kicking up my skate board.
He looked up at me and beamed happily, shutting off his phone and stuffing it in his pocket.
Eddie wore an Enderman shirt, a black beanie, expertly fixed onto his head, regular dark wash jeans and dark purple converse on his feet. On his face were his usual thick black glasses.
"Aww, dude, I'm so excited for tonight!! It's gonna be so sick!" he laughed, putting his hands behind his head as if he was lying down.
"I know! My mom is going to Walmart after school to get us some snacks, pizza and of course Pepsi Max!!"
"You and your damn soda..." He giggled lazily.
"You know me..." I trailed off as the bus pulled up.
Eddie and I sat in the back to avoid any problems with the other bullies. Lucky for us, me mostly, Nick doesn't go on our bus, but he has some buddies on here that can be real assholes.
It's an obstacle just to get on the bus without getting tripped up by one of them!
With a sigh, Eddie and I hopped up the steps and entered the bus. Almost immediately, half of the kids, Nick's buddy mostly, are murmuring to each other flicking their eyes towards us and back to their friend...
We ignored it for the most part and walked down the narrow hallway of seats.
As Eddie walked in front of me, the bus began to move forward.
Of course, someone had to place their foot directly in front of me, causing me to trip, again. I mean, this wasn't the first time this happened; it just, it starts to get fucking annoying.
I trip, but manage to catch myself, one arm clutching one of the seats, the other Eddie's backpack.
"Aw fuck," Eddie muttered as he turned, helping me up again. The kid who tripped me faced forward, avoiding Eddies death gaze. If only looks could kill.
Eddie just smacked the kid upside the head.
"Hey, asshat, I don't appreciate you messing with my friends," Eddie said sternly before turning again, heading towards our seats once more.
I followed with a scowl, I could hear the kids snickering around me, and I was sick of it! I haven't even told my own mother I get bullied like this, and it sucks I have to lie to her, she already has so much going on anyway.
That's why I just keep my mouth shut.
Eddie moved aside to let me have the window seat, like always. Mornings like these was pretty much routine. Either Eddie or I gets tripped and Eddie calls him out, and we just get to our seat.
But I'm not going to ever let it get to me; I'd be letting them win like that!
Today is our day, and we're gonna have a blast, whether they like it or not.
