C4: New Friends?

~Aleks' POV~

Eddie and I made our way to English, watching out for Nick and his minions. I swear the fucking cretins are like vultures.

They watch our every movement from the second they have us in their sights. I haven't seen Nick at all today, maybe he's angry we didn't get beat up by him this morning... Ah, well.

As we walked, our heads kept turning behind us and all around, checking if anyone that was part of Nick's little gang was around. We were fortunately pretty masked by the crowds of students around us, however. Eddie walked beside me, holding onto his backpack straps and looking forward, his eyes resembling a pinball machine, darting in every direction.

I'm walking with my head down now, thinking about my chances of ever getting a girlfriend... Then it hit me, what if I never even liked girls.

I mean it made sense, I was never really attracted to them, I just felt like I had to get one.

Suddenly, I bumped into a large figure and stoppped dead in my tracks.

Nick.

Oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck!! Where's Eddie?! I pushed Nick out of the way before he could say anything and ran past him, seeing Eddie lying on the floor, clutching his stomach. I threw my back on the floor next to Eddie. I turned around to face Nick.

"What the fuck, Nick?!" I yelled at him, shoving him back.

He smirked at me raising his fists.

"Aleks, no..." Eddie croaked out. I looked back at him, pain clouding his eyes, several people crowding behind him and helping him up. I looked back at Nick, only to get a punch right to my face. My head turned to the right, but snapped right back. I wasn't going down easy.

"Fuck you, Nick! I'm sick of your shit and this is the last time you mess with me or my friends!" I raised my fist and lauched it right at Nick's open ribcage, knocking the air out him.

He fell over with a loud thump and stayed there. I was breathing heavily, my eyes looking at all the kids around me... I turned around and saw Eddie, standing, hanging onto a football players shoulder. I ran up to him and he smiled.

"I knew you had it in you, that was some crazy shit!" he laughed and held into the guys shoulder a bit more.

"Heh heh, yeah... I didn't think I'd ever be able to-" I heard people gasp around me and I suddenly felt a huge pain on my back. I fell over which only doubled my pain.

"Aleks!!" Eddie yelled, pulling away from the jock and kneeling down beside me as I clutched my side.

He used his body to cover me as we both started getting kicked all over our bodies by Nick.

"Hey! What the fuck, man?! Leave them alone!!" The football player that was holding Eddie said, stepping infront of us and shoving Nick away.

"Get the fuck out of here, Seamus! Why are you defending these fags?!" Nick roared, steadying himself, eyes raging at the football player.

"Truth is, I'm sick of your shit! They have done nothing to you!! Back the fuck off, or I'll have the entire football team do it for you," Seamus, I think, said turning around and helping us up and glaring back at Nick who starting to walk away again.

Seamus helped us up and had his friends get our stuff.

"Why? Why are you helping us...?" Eddie choked out, nose bleeding from a kick Nick had given him to the face from when he was protecting me.

Seamus grimaced, "I started getting sick of his shit! You guys haven't done anything to him right?"

We both shook our heads.
