C11: Well, That Was Easy...

~Aleks' POV~

I don't think going to this party is good idea, but everyone really wants to go and have fun.

I want to dance with Eddie too, of course, I just... don't want us to get found out in the process.

To be honest, I've been wanting to ask Eddie about telling our mothers.

I want to tell my mom that I'm gay. I hate lying to her, and I think it might be a good idea to tell her before she finds out from somewhere else.

"Eddie?" I asked him.

He looked up from his phone and looked up at me.

"Yeah?" he asked, sitting up.

"I think we should tell our parents... you know, about us." I said hesitantly, gripping the sheet with my right hand and holding my arm with my left.

"I think you're right. I hate to say it like this, but if they're actually our parents, they should let us be whatever we want, and support us, no matter what." Eddie spoke softly, slowly wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me closer to him.

I leaned into him, understanding what he meant.

We built up our courage and Eddie called his mom over so we could sit them down and tell them.

Once they were both done chatting a bit, we started.

I started it up slowly.

"Um... We have something important to tell you guys." I said, sitting across from them with Eddie beside me.

"What's wrong, dear?" Eddie's mom asked.

"Did something happen?" My mom added.

"No, no. Well, nothing bad... per say. Well, you see... I- I mean, Eddie and I, we're- um..."

God, this is much harder than I what I pictured.

"We're gay." Eddie said flatly.

I turned to face him wide eyed, then turned to our mothers.

They looked shocked. They turned and gave each other a look before facing us again.

"You're... both, g-gay?" My mom asked us, making sure if she heard us right.

"Yesssss...." I dragged out hesitantly.

"Well..." Eddie's mom put both of her index fingers to each side her forehead and spoke. "We aren't mad," she reassures us quickly, "but it's going to be awhile for us to get used to it I think.." she finished before looking back at my mom.

"Uh-um, w-was that all?" my mom asked us.

"We're dating."

My mom covered her mouth, holding back a laugh.

Eddie's mom stayed composed a bit longer before doing the same.

"Oh! I knew it! As soon as you two said you were gay! You two have been inseparable since the day you met... I'm not surprised."

Eddie's mom smiled.

"Oh, for how long?" my mom added.

"Um- a week or so I think." I answered.

They both just smiled and Eddie and I couldn't have felt so relived.
