super Hot Day

Monday morning came as usually,I couldn't explain it but I just can't get through the stress that comes with it, they were Rita's usual hectic days because she usually has a lots of hang over of work from Friday and not forgetting the Every Monday meeting with the board of directors as well as with the head of each department.

she got up and searched through her wardrobe looking for what to wear, after series of scouring through her bag, she decided to settle for her pink skirt and white blazer, she took out her pink and white heels and dumped them on her bed and rushed to the bathroom .

She quickly had a quick shower and rushed out, putting on a light make up, rushing out of the room, she entered the kitchen and picked up her coffee made earlier but pour it out in the kitchen sink when she realized that was too cold already. Picking up her bag and keys, she locked the front door and drove out of the parking garage.

Luckily the traffic wasn't hectic as expected making her drive swift, she drove into the the parking garage in front of Powermart building and surge through the entrance.

Shaking her time, she realized that it was exactly 8.00am ,she walked into her office with her secretary tailing behind her, greeted by Vivian, she handed her a document and showed the schedules for the day and rush out.

(ringing ringing ) She picked up her desk phone and was informed by Vivian of her meeting with the board of directors in 15minutes later, she quickly cleared her table , and called Vivian and asked her to move the necessary documents to the board room for her.

She was having a hectic day as it is already and she hoped the board members will not get on her nerves, as the CEO of Powermart and clothing INC. they needed an upper link in the Uk with one of their biggest fashion industry Zantrov to enhance their marketing, with the help of her father, they got connected to the company since they were former associate.

It has not been a pleasant day and honestly she hate getting stressed.
She's was supposed to meet with their CEO today with their board of directors to draw out an agreement between them concerning that as well with the legal team.

Standing up, she straighten her skirt and arrange her hair and walked slowly to the boardroom, gratefully she wasn't late.

Rita was brought out of her trance when she entered the room as pair of eyes gaze upon her,looking up  her eyes meets with the most handsome man she has ever seen.

Composing herself immediately she summoned her courage "Good afternoon !"she greeted the board of directors taking her sit, the meeting commenced and they came to an agreement, for Zantrov to partner with them, he will get 20% share of the company after much deliberation.

Zantrov CEO promised to get his lawyers to draw up the necessary documents concerning the agreement they had reached upon,he decided to spend some days to analyze the company before coming to the final decision.
His grey eyes met with Rita's as she was handing him over the their company profile nonchalantly but she quickly mask unaffected by him.

Ignoring him while the rest of the meeting went on, she tried as much as possible to avoid any form of eye contact with him especially, she didn't want to send a negative message neither does she want any man to take her for granted.

She knows his type, they feel they are the alpha male in the world though judging him without having any form of interaction with him wasn't a fair judgement.

"Excuse me ma'am" she heard the voice of one of the board members.

"Sorry, You were saying  " she said calmly.

The meeting went as usual and she tried as much as possible to avoid been distracted before the end.

Thanking the board of directors ,she appreciated them for their time, she stood up and shake hands with each and everyone of them and walked out pretending not to acknowledge him.

She was halfway to her office when she heard her name, Turing around she saw him standing in his magnificent.

"I don't believe we've met ? " he asked.

Really! Was he so dump not to realize that I was the one running this
company I thought inwardly .

'I'm Miss Rita Davies sir, any problem? " I replied questioning him.

"I' ve heard of Miss Gift Davies but surely I've not heard of you " he said sarcastically.

"Great then, pretend I don't exist because I don't know who You're as well " I snorted back ignoring him before entering my office.

What the hell!

Who does he think he's ?, I decided to calm down and not let him get to me.

I spent the  rest of the day clearing my desk quietly when I heard my phone ringing, It was Gift Davies.

"Hi babe!   Are we having lunch?  I asked her.

"I'm on my way already, we will just meet up alright "

I wanted to hesitate looking at my desk though on the second thought what's the point sitting here working myself and thinking about that jerk.

"sure,  I 'll be right over " I told her.

I drove to stepson's Restaurant close by to meet up with Gift, I parked my car and walked inside.

I hugged her before sitting down, I ordered for some snacks and soft drinks, we engaged into small talks awaiting our order.

"I heard what happened today " Gift said staring at me.

"Did you really tell the almighty Derrick ,CEO Zantrov to get lost? " she asked crossing her hand while forming a smile.

"Guess News travel fast I guess beside who informed you " I questioned her looking surprised.

Smirking at me, she let out an out burst laughter.

"Come on honey, I have my source alright "

" Yeah, of course you do! " I replied sarcastically.

"I'm just looking out for you, just be careful alright "

I  sigh and breath out, giving her a thoughtful stare.

"I appreciate you looking out for Me but I don't understand how you're getting your information " I said truly.

Our order arrived and we ate in silent, though I can't their that their pie was really mouth watering and fresh, I ordered pizza as a take away for Vivian since she said she won't be going out for lunch.

Giving Gift a hug, we both got into our car and drove off.

I returned back to office and cleared my table, towards pass 4pm I realized I was having a slight headache, I pulled out my heels and lied on my office sofa for few minutes before picking up my bag.

"I'm going home,  Vivian. I 've got a slight headache, if anything turns up give me a call and please Vivian don't worry about me, I will be fine. "

Worried flooded her face as she looked at me.

"Alright Ma'am and do take care" she said calmly

I took the elevator down to the reception, I dropped my key card and walked towards my car.
