The Outing!!

The door entrance chimed twice abruptly opening, Rita walked into the cafe where she usually had coffee with her friends, her countenance evinced something unusual about her this time, something vague in spite of her phony simile, Gift noticed her mood immediately she walked towards her but on a second thought she didn't want to intrude so she kept quiet for a while glancing at her with many questions turning in her mind.

She finally broke the silence between when she voiced out "Mom insists we come home this weekend gift and I gave her my word that we will ".she heard Rita said weakly to her which brought her back from worried thought.

"of course, we will visit, I missed her already, Dad called few minutes ago, he was worried about you, he said you have not called him or pick up his calls " Gift said but she noticed the change in her sister's face immediately, she suddenly became paled.

"Am sorry, I will Call him when I get home, I have been very busy lately".

Suddenly she turned to see Celine walking towards them swiftly.

"Rita where the hell did you keep your phone, I've been trying to reach you since,I wanted to inform you that I was held up in a traffic that I will be a little late and your phone kept diverting me to voicemail "Celine accused her friend jokingly, she missed their time Like this together, where they meet up to have coffee and gossip about the city latest news but her two friends seem withdrawn today.

"What is happening here?, why are you both acting weird like two ladies fighting over a man"celine asked confused about their sudden mood while ordering for a drink.

"Maybe your friend here is hiding something from us, why don't you ask her yourself, she's the one who looked withdrawn "Gift replied sounding angry and frustrated with her sister's attitude.

she looked so unhappy and didn't utter a single word and kept on playing with her drink ignoring both of them, she just sat calmly fixing her eyes on on the TV screen but she seems focused and lost in thought looking beyond the TV Set, Celine finally thought it was her duty to ask and know what made their friend lapse into such a state of apparent sorrow..

She suddenly asked "what's up with You Rita ?" . " You looked all worked up? " sunk in silence, Rita didn't give her any reply to her friend questions.
Gift got worried and thought it was something serious, she grabbed Rita's hand and dragged her outside, a little distance towards the parking garage with Celine standing up and following them as well to a little distance from the cafe, Rita started breathing deeply as if she was been stifle and much in need of fresh air.
They remained silent for a while, standing side by side and stretching their sight far away from the cafe.

Celine broke the silence "How long have we know each other Rita? " she asked her and she immediately winked an eye at her as she asked the question "A very long time now "she continued "we have been friends for years together, so I know you, this must be something serious, talk to us please, you know you can talk to us about anything right ?"...

"He's back, he's back for good !"Rita exclaim unexpectedly with tears in her eyes.

Gift asked "Who's back Rita? " she became silent again for minutes,she asked again "answer me damnit, who the hell is back to get you like this?".

"Who else other than that stupid jerk". he sent me another letter this morning asking me to meet up with him or I face whatever way he chose to " .Rita told her friends and continue "I can't stand him, I can't forgive him and I don't want to see him but I can't hold myself, am so confused and then Derrick's making me feel like I have not in a long time, I don't know what I feel anymore ? ". she explained to her friends.

Celine walked to her friend and hugged her, now they understand her silent, she was fighting a battle inside all by herself , they wish they could carry the burden for her.

"My love, come here !" .Gift said and hugged her sister.

"As long as you have us nobody is ever going to hurt you without passing through us first ".Gift said proudly.

"Am moving in with You,after we get back from the weekend and I think Celine is right, it's time we take that vacation" .she told her sister passionately.

"And before then, am calling Dan, we need to find him first before he does, I want your security tighten,everything and even in your office, nobody mess with us and get away with it "Celine said texting her personal investigator to get them of the whereabouts of Sebastian Diego, it's time to put him in his place, they needed to know everything he's been up to in the last Five years.

"I will make all the necessary arrangement for our vacation and I think I know the perfect place already "Celine said happily, she will do anything to make her friend happy again and bring her back to life.

"Thank you guys so much, I don't know what I will have done without the both of you, I love you both and am happy you both are always there for me"she told their friends with gratitude as felt like relieved .

"Now enough about me already, what's happening with you guys? "she asked her friends teasing them with a smile.

"Wow see who's talking, you got us all worried few minutes ago, I'm just worried "."I've a hearing in court on friday, it's a complicated case and I don't want to lose it "Gift replied looking abit worried than usual.

"Come on, You're one of the best lawyers in the country and to add to that, You've never lost a case, so calm down but if you need anything,I mean any help, don't hesitate to let us know alright! "Rita told her assuring her though she knew how strong her sister is , hopefully she will push through.

"And that said, Celine its your turn, what's up with you with that simile over your face "Gift chipped in and directed the attention to her, she smirk wickedly giving her a winks.

"Come on, nothing much just trying to get ready for our wine competition next month, we are aiming first in the world and I can't wait to get it over done with, our branch in Mexico is currently undergoing a challenge which is our major source of supply "She told them shrugging abit.

"Everything will be fine " Gift said.

"Will you be traveling out of the country? ". I asked.

"I'm not sure yet, Dad might decide to go himself "

"Just relax, if there's one thing I have learnt over time is that worry doesn't solve any problem "

"Ok then , with that said, let's head back to my apartment for some fun, I will bake us something nice beside we still have a whole day ahead, no excuses "Gift suggested happily.

They all got into their car and drove off to her apartment but what they didn't know was that someone was trailing them behind.
