I intentionally woke up quite late to avoid having any form of conversation with Celine, I already made up my mind about meeting up with Gift later. I Decided to settle for a simple blue blazer with my black skirt though paring it with my blue heels that's because I knew I will be driving.
As I was about walking out of the living room, I paused and noticed that I left my pad on the dinning table while I was having breakfast, picking it up from the table, I adjusted my blazer and turned off the lights before locking up.
I got into my car and drove out hoping the traffic would have relapse abit, forty minutes later I found myself outside the Powermart building.
The receptionist on the desk gave me a smile of welcome as I walked into the reception.
"Good morning ma'am "I was greeted politely by her.
"Good morning Lucy ,Am here to see my sister " I told her .
"She's currently in the board meeting but will out in few minutes, You can go ahead and wait for her "
"Thanks, I appreciate "
Walking towards the elevator, I decided to have a quick check at my former Admin office.
"Good morning Mr Daniel " Seeing how shocked he looked recognizing me, am sure he's surprised to see me at the office
"Good morning Miss Rita "he greeted me wryly.
"It's been awhile, I just decided to drop by to see how you guys are faring " I told him genuinely.
"Honestly things hasn't been the same since You left, we miss you terribly "noticing the sadness in voice can't be ignored.
"Come on, it can't be that bad, I know Gift will handle You guys well "
"I don't think You understand, since you left the Sale of clothing has reduced drastically and it has affected every session of the company, Your sister has threatened to reduce our salary if the sales doesn't increase by month End ''
"I don't believe she's capable of doing that but don't worry I will talk to her "
I can't believe Gift is turning into a total different personality I once knew,it hurts me more that innocent are about to get hurt because of this.
"What are you doing here " a voice startled me only to turn around to find Gift standing in her Glory"Great" I muttered silently .
"Can we go to the office , I just want to talk "
"Alright "she replied me staring straight at me.
We walked into her office and honestly I was about losing my patience because her overbearing character has become too excess and annoying .
"What's going Gift?, why are you hurting me " I questioned
"Hurting You ?" she busted out laughing at me staring straight at me.
"I'm not hurting You ,I'm taking back what's mine " she said sternly.
"I never said powermart wasn't Yours, so I still don't understand ".
"You don't need to understand, just go and leave our lives ".
"That's what you really want right? ".
"Yeah,I'm tired of playing a goody shoes sister with you ,I thought I made that quite clear".
"It's fine Gift, you got it and congratulations on your new Appointment " .I said flatly while picking up my bag, I was about walking out of her office but not before I paused turning back "Thank You for everything You ,Mum and Dad did for me, I appreciate it and I don't take it for granted,I'm sorry if I've ever wronged unknowingly, I apologize " I told her sincerely before heading out
