•House Fire•

A/N: This is really short...sorry. I know a lot about house fires since when I was in 5th grade, my house caught on fire, so this is based on personal experiences. Enjoy!

Your POV

I drove down my road, about three minutes away from home. It was a long day at work and I was so glad today was Friday. A weekend with nothing but hot chocolate, Criminal Minds, and relaxation.

As I drove, I received a call from my best friend, and neighbor, Nate Smith. He never called so I immediately picked up

Before I could even say 'hello', Nate starting rushing out, "Y/N, hurry home!!! You're house is on fire!"

"What?" I gasped. "I'm on my way. Thanks for calling."

"I'm at your house, fire department is here but they can't get the fire out. I'll be waiting for you."

I nodded, even though he couldn't see me, and hung up. Tears immediately began to fall down my face as I drove faster and pulled into my driveway

The scene was scarring. My windows were broken and smoke was coming out everywhere. Flames were now my room and so many people were around it, like it was a public gathering.

I ran out of my car and up to Nate. I hugged him as tight as I could and started crying.

"Y/N, hey, calm down," Nate said soothingly. "I'm here."

"It's all gone," I sobbed. "My home. It's gone."

"I know...it's hard...but you need to relax. I'm here and I always will be."

"I love you so much, Nate," I smiled

"I love you too, Y/N. Now let's get you situated."

"What do you mean?" I asked, wiping the tears away.

"You're living with me for as long as it takes. You'll be happy and I'll be here for you whenever you need me. Now, let's go home."

I smiled and laced my fingers with his. We walked down the road, leaving the flames burning, and headed off to a new home.
