Third Persons POV

Y/N hates 1 a.m. phone calls. According to her, they only meant bad things are happening and the morning was going to start in tears. Unfortunately, this morning was one of those mornings.

Y/N was asleep next to her boyfriend, Nate, peacefully sleeping when they both awoke to a loud ringing noise...

Y/N's phone.

"Ugh. Are you serious?" She groaned. "I'm going to go answer it and I'll be back."

"Okay," Nate said and kissed her forehead before unwrapping his arms from around her waist.

Y/N gave Nate a smile, even though it was dark, Nate saw it and smiled back. She grabbed her phone and went out of the room and answered the call. Before she answered it, she looked at the caller ID. Her mom was calling

"Hello?" Y/N said.

"Y/N, it's mom," her mom said with panic and sadness present in her voice.

"What is it mom?"

"Your dad had a heart attack earlier. We rushed him straight to the hospital but they're was nothing the doctor could do. His heart was failing and, unfortunately he passed away."

Y/N was speechless. Her and her dad had gone through so much together and she knew that he had a weak heart but she wasn't ready to let him go.

"O-okay," Y/N stuttered, tears now forming in her eyes. "Thanks for telling me."

"You okay honey?" Her mom asked.

"I'll be okay. I'm going to bed. Night."

"Good night. I love you Y/N/N."

"I love you too mom." Y/N said and hung up. She slowly made her way back to the bedroom, trying not to bump into anything

She made it to the bedroom and laid down on the bed. Nate got closer to her and wrapped his arm back around her waist.

"So...what happened?" Nate asked her as he played his her H/C hair.

"My father passed away this morning," she said, tears falling down her face. "You know how he has a really bad heart right?"

"Yeah..."

"Well he had a heart attack and it was so strong and his heart was so weak that the doctors couldn't save him."

"Aw, Y/N, I'm sorry." Nate said.

"It's fine." She responded. "It's just so much to deal with at one time.

"I know, love, I know." Nate continued to pet her hair while they sat in silence for a few minutes.

Y/N soon turned on her other said, facing Nate, and leaned her head on his chest. Nate smiled and kissed her lips. The kiss was sweet and calming. It was a kiss that said I'm here for you, no matter what. Y/N kissed back and put her hands up in Nate's black raven hair.

The couple soon broke apart for air and leaned back on the bed, their arms wrapped around each other.

"I'm always going to be here to hold you when something doesn't go right," Nate told her. "I love you."

"I love you too, Nate," Y/N said and they both fell into a peaceful slumber
