A/N: To all Americans, Happy Late Thanksgiving. I was going to update this on Thanksgiving, but I ended up being busy and then I had another request to upload first...BUT IT'S HERE NOW!!

Third Persons POV

Y/N glanced at herself in the mirror one more time, making sure she looked presentable, and walked out of the bathroom. She wore a floral dress with black high heels, but her makeup and hair were the most important.

She spent two hours trying to learn how to french braid her long H/C hair, and three hours trying different styles for her makeup.

"Finally you're out of the bathroom!!" Nate chuckled and walked over to her, wrapping "You look beautiful."

"Thank you," she blushed. "You look so handsome."

Now Nate was the one who was blushing. His already pink skin was two shades darker. He wore nothing special. Jeans, button up plaid shirt, and black shoes.

"It's nothing special," Nate whispered. "You're the one who took time to look good...and it worked."

"I want to make a good impression on your family," Y/N told him.

She had already met his mom and dad since they started seven months ago, but today she was going to meet Nate's aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.

"That won't be hard to do," Nate said and kissed each of her temples, then her nose. "The Smith family loves everyone."

"I know, but still I want them to like me."

"Then let's go. Lunch starts in 45 minutes."

Y/N nodded and they went to their car and drove to Nate's parents house, which was only 20 minutes away. In the car they discussed a bunch of different things like how crazy is cousins were and how good the turkey always was at Thanksgiving.

"This all sounds so much fun," Y/N smiled. "I can't wait to see your family. They sound so much fun."

"They are fun, but a little crazy at times," Nate told her. "I also want you to know that they love hugs. They're very clingy, so if you ever wonder why I'm so clingy, it's because of them."

"I like it when you're clingy. It makes me feel safe. Besides, you're a fantastic hugger."

Nate chuckled and nothing was said the rest of the way there.

When they arrived, they got out of the car, and walked hand in hand to the house. The second they walked in, all eyes were on them. The entire family is excited to see Nate's new girlfriend.

"Ah, Nate, you made it," his father said, giving him a hug. "And I see you brought Y/N, as well. Nice to see you again, dear."

Y/N smiled. "It's nice to see you too, Mr. Smith," she said.

"This is Nate's grandma and grandpa," he said, gesturing to two people sitting on a couch, cuddled up together.

"Why, hello there," Grandma said to Y/N. " Nate, bring her over here. I'd like to talk to her."

Nate took Y/N over to his grandparents and Y/N smiled.

"Oh, my," Grandma said. "Nate, you got yourself a pretty one."

"Ah, yes," Grandpa agreed. "Quite gorgeous if you ask me."

"Thank you," Y/N blushed. "It's nice to meet you. I've been looking forward to it."

"And kind too!!" Grandma smiled. "Nate, you better not let this one go. She's amazing and you're lucky."

"I won't, grandma," Nate told her, bringing YN close to him. "She's all mine."

"So, what I'm hearing is you won't share?" A voice said from behind them.

Nate turned to see his cousin, Jimmy.

"Never, Jim," Nate said. " it took me three weeks to convince her to go on a date with me. Now that she's here, she's not going anywhere."

"Sharing is caring, bro," Jimmy said.

"Get yourself a girl oh, then we'll talk. You want to omi's telling a chick like Y/N from you."

"So that's her name," another voice said. "Quite pretty."

"Aunt Liv," Nate smiled. "This is my girlfriend."

"It's a pleasure to meet you," Y/N smiled.

"The pleasure's all mine, dear," Liv said. "It's nice to see Nate has a girl now. I've been waiting."

"You don't have to wait anymore, Aunt Liv," Nate said. "Where's uncle Nick?"

"Sick again, so is Jason. They're staying home this year."

"That's a shame, I was hoping Y/N would be able to meet them."

"We have Christmas, though," Y/N said.

"Good point," Liv said."We'll be at your guys place then.:

"I can't wait," Y/N smiled.

"Alright, everyone, let's gather on the table and let's eat!!" Nate's mom said.

"Y/N sit with me," Jimmy said.

"Unless you're sitting near my boyfriend, no thank you, Jimmy." Y/N said.

She sat down next to Nate, who happened to be sitting across from Jimmy. Jimmy chuckled.

"Nice of you to join me," he said. "Happy Thanksgiving."

"Happy Thanksgiving," Y/N replied.

"Alright hey, let's go around the table and say what we're thankful for." Mr. Smith said when everyone had gotten food. "Y/N, why don't you start? We'll go counterclockwise around."

"Okay," Y/N smiled. "I'm thankful for a lot of things, but this year I'm especially thankful for meeting Nate.

"Awe, thanks, Y/N," Nate said. "I love you. Okay, I'm thankful for meeting my amazing girlfriend and also and things will be seeing all my family today."

Everyone went around and see what they are thankful for. When everyone was done eating, Nate's mother cut the pies. Y/N how to slice a pumpkin, and Nate had two slices of peanut butter pie.

By 3:30 in the afternoon, everyone was asleep and Y/N had talked to everyone in the family.

"I think we should get going," Nate said.

"Okay," Y/N agreed.

They both got up quietly and put their shoes and coat on before leaving the house.

Once they got in the car, Nate said, "They love you. I knew it."

"They may love me, but I love you more than all of them."

Now that Thanksgiving is over, Christmas is getting closer! I'm excited for Christmas one shot because I haven't wrote one yet! Also we're going up on one year of this and already almost 5k reads!!

To those of you who are wondering what happened to the 5000 reads, I deleted a few parts of this book, but I had no idea at the time that deleted the reads too.

Remember to read, comment, and vote!!
