Kori's POV:
After reading those letters, everything was a blur. I couldn't process anything. I was numb on the inside.
Obito-sama was the one who found me.
"Obito-sama..." I stated in a wavering voice.
Obito-sama looked at me.
"Hai?"
"I... I need to talk to you. Alone. As soon as possible, please." I said.
I had to tell him about my relationship with Rin.
Obito used this jutsu, & the two of us were suctioned into... what seemed to be a different dimension.
Obito-sama sat on one of the million blocks in the area, patting the cube next to him.
"Please, sit, Rain-Dancer."
I did.
"What did you want to tell me?"
"A story." I said. Obito-sama looked at me through his eye-hole.
"A story?" He said, his voice disbelieving.
I nodded.
"More importantly... My story. And how Nohara Rin is tied to it."
I had Obito-sama's full attention now.
I looked at the cubed, bleach-white floor.
Obito-sama stayed quiet, waiting for me to begin.
So I took a deep breath, & started my story.
I started from the very beginning.
"My full name is Miho Kori. I was the youngest in my family, and the result of an unfaithful husband during the shinobi war." I said.
"My mother's name was Manai Yuki. She absolutely despised me, continually abusing me emotionally. Ignoring me at times, yelling at me, blaming me for mistakes, and more. I had to call her Okaa-sama at all times, or she would get so angry that she would beat me."
I rubbed a scar on my left wrist. I got that scar when I was 3 years old, from none other than Okaa-sama.
"My father, on the other hand was much different towards me. His name was Miho Kaito. He was the kindest, most loving father ever. He was the same as me, though. He had the same kekkei genkai, that is. He died not long after my 4th birthday, protecting our family from two missing-nin who were raiding houses for food."
I was silent for a moment.
"I grew up with Okaa-sama. The person who blamed me for Daddy's death. That didn't stop me from smiling, though. It didn't stop me from dancing in the Rain. No. Not at all."
I blinked.
"Sometime after my 15th birthday I was called by the Rain. It was night, but I had danced in the Rain at night many time s before. So I obeyed the Rain's request. I received an ominous message from the Rain. After the rain stopped, I saw a shinobi watching me dance. That was the first time that I saw M-..Madara. The following day. I just snapped. I couldn't take anymore o the constant abuse my mother gave me. I packed my things, and my Daddy's kantana.
And left.
The following morning, Madara found me and asked if I could dance again. I told him I couldn't, but he got angry. That's when he put a curse on me. Seven years later, I woke up in a cave. I exited the room & saw you. The rest of my life story is one that you know. But Nohara Rin doesn't come into my story, other than the time that I danced for her."
Obito looked at me curiously.
"Did Nohara Rin ever show her a picture of her parents?" I asked Obito-sama.
He nodded.
"Nohara Rin's mother. Her name was Nohara Miho Willow, and she was my older sister." I said blankly.
"I was supposed to be Nohara Rin's god-mother after she was taken from her father. I was supposed to watch her. But I was busy being under a curse." I said softly, guilt in my eyes.
"I can't help but think that... that if I stayed... stayed with Okaa-sama, I could've saved her. Rin-chan."
Tears rolled down my cheeks.
"... I'm sorry, Obito-sama..."
"Don't be."
I looked up at him, startled.
"Don't be sad. I have a plan to recreate the world without war... without death, and without hate. And I will achieve that. Soon, Kori, it'll happen. That's why the Akatsuki was created." Obito-sama said.
He put a hand on my shoulder reassuringly.
"And when I create that world..." Obito's voice became confident, and I saw a determined glint in his eye.
"When I do create that world, Rin Nohara, your mother (without her hate), your father, and your family will all be there. I will create a world of happiness."
And I believed him. I believed in Obito-sama's dream.
