KORI'S POV:
If you're wondering about the supposed birthday party? I have suppressed it from my mind. So, yeah.
Moving on.

GENERAL POV:
It was around the beginning of fall when Kori began to notice it. What, you may ask?
Kori began to notice some very thick tension between Hidan, Itachi, Deidara, and Sasori. On the days where she wasn't training, she'd balance it out between the entire Akatsuki. She spent equal amounts of time with each member, but with those four men... It almost seemed to be like a game for them. Kori could sorta feel a competitive streak in them. When she voiced her concern about the men's behavior, Konan-chan (whom she had confided with) just laughed slightly and told her not to worry about it. Something about 'boys just being idiots', Konan had said, with an amused glint in her eyes.
Kori was confused, but said nothing.
Over the past couple of weeks, Kori had learned to mold Sui and Tsuchi's elemental powers into chakra. She stored the chakra into the kanji tatooed to her wrist and tried to do the same with the rest of the elements. Kori had actually molded Tsuchi's powers into chakra by mistake. It was actually quite easy for the kunochi, and she didn't realize she did it until Tsuchi informed her. And for Sui's power, Kori was simply expierementing on a theory. The result was good, but not exactly the result that she was planning on. Sui, on the other hand was very pleased, and needless to say, so was Tsuchi.
- - Later - -
One day, she was hanging out with Itachi. It was her day off, but she wanted to practice a little bit on her hand-to-hand combat... with kunai. When Kori voiced her musings, Itachi had volunteered to help her out.
They'd been practicing for almost two hours, when Kori politely asked for a small break. The two of them sat on the side of the training room, cooling down. Kori looked downwards slightly, her bangs moving and covering her face as she rested.
Itachi's POV:
It was good thing Kori wasn't a sensory ninja, because Deidara and Sasori had been watching the two of us for about an hour.
I glanced to the side, noticing that Kori's bangs had shifted, and was now covering her beautiful face.
Without thinking, Itachi crouched directly in front of Kori. This caused Kori to look at the Uchiha prodigy from behind her hair.
General POV:
Itachi's hand reached out and tucked the hair behind her ear, his fingers barely brushing against her face. The Uchiha's touch was warm and sent shivers down her spine.
"I-I-Itachi..?" Kori squeaked questioningly.
"Don't hide your face, Kori... It's beautiful." Itachi murmured, his black eyes both soft, yet at the same time boring into Kori's.
Kori's face was red, as she sat there in shock.
"Y...You think s-so?" Kori stuttered, suddenly feeling shy.
"Yes, Rain-Dancer. You are the most beautiful person in the entire world." Itachi said, fingers brushing against her cheek.
She squeaked in a flustered way.
Her eyes widened when Itachi began moving closer, as to kiss her, and Kori began to blush even more. She didn't know what to do.
"I..Ita--"
-BOOM-
"Art is an explosion, you baka!" Deidara yelled.
Kori stood up, and apologized.
"I...I'm sorry Itachi. I have to make sure that Deidara-sama doesn't kill Sasori-sama. Or vice versa."
And Kori dashed out.
Itachi glowered.
'The two art-obsessed idiots interupted me before I could tell her how I felt. Now she'll think I was just flirting with her.' Itachi thought, lips set in a firm line, 'Fan-fucking-tastic...'
"Hn." Itachi grunted, before walking out of the room.
